String Phone star Lesley Youngblood was a career firefighter, the first woman to hold the job in Carroll County, Ga. Her career, as well as the events of 9/11 served as inspiration for screenwriter/director Geoffrey Donne as he created the screenplay. The entire production was created in a basement under a Pasadena, Ca mansion, and shot with a largely volunteer crew, in a single day.

Consulting Producer Geoff Roesch was a First Responder at Ground Zero on 9/11. Lesley wears the same gloves he wore while searching through the rubble of the Twin Towers, and star Ray Oddi wears his helmet on screen as well.
