Sudhir catches his man - who turns out to be a minor - as Neeti juggles watching over the female victim with riot squad duty at India Gate. After a chase in Naxal territory, Jairaj nabs the final suspect.

Day 6, 2 AM.

Vartika is livid and wants to confront Bhupendra. Bhupendra counsels Vartika that they need Akash and in reality he has not broken any laws. Vartika again tells Akash that he has his whole life in front of him, which Deepika does not. She tells Akash that his interview will harm the case, and tells him not to do the media interview. Akash is still non committal. Bhupendra runs a background check on Akash. Vartika admits to Bhupendra that his instincts were right about Akash. She says that she could sense that Akash knew that his interview will destroy Deepika's case. Its almost as if he did not want her to win. Vartika knows that without Akash the police does not have a case, but is disgusted that the police has to reply on people like him for the case. Bhupendra finds out that Akash has 20 cases filed against him with UP Police.

Sudhir knows that all buses leave in the afternoon and return to the bus depot in the morning. He returns with his team the next morning to catch Sonu. Sonu is caught on bus stand. He turns out to be a minor as Vimla sense that he is about 16 years old. Subhash is apprehensive as defense will pin the entire blame on the minor, who will get only 3 years in jail. Vimla says that she cannot allow a minor to be sodomized in jail and is adamant that she will book him as a minor.

The protest turns violent at India gate. The cabinet secretary tells Kumar that the Russian President is arriving in the capital the next day and the PM wants the city to be in control. Kumar orders a Lathi charge to disperse the crowd. The CM's son was at the protest and was surrounded by protesters, but was saved by the Delhi Police.

Kumar knows that people want accountability. He tells the cabinet secretary to set up an inquiry commission to probe the entire police conduct and even suggest changes to the anti-sexual assault laws. Kumar says that he will resign if the commission finds any lapses in the inquiry.

The doctor calls Vartika to record Deepika's statement. Neeti was on duty at the Lathi charge and from there she goes directly to the hospital to help Vartika record Deepika's statement. Deepika records her official statement in presence of a magistrate. She names Alok, Jai Singh, Sonu, Amar, Brajesh and Vikas as the culprits. They wanted to kill her. She narrates how the iron rod was inserted inside her vagina and her rectum repeatedly. Then Jai Singh put his hand inside her and pulled her flesh out. They were thrown out of a moving bus.

Jairaj gets a call from the Chapar village Sarpanch that Alok has come home to his own parents. Alok is apprehended from his home in Bihar and brought to Delhi.

The government orders a judicial inquiry into conduct of police. The team finally gets to go home. Vartika treats her team to an ice cream at India Gate. Vartika is informed that Jai Singh has committed suicide in jail.

As a result of this case, new laws were enacted, detailing harsher punishments for the culprits and fast track courts for the victims. 4 of the suspects were sentenced to death and remain on death row. The minor served 3 years in jail in juvenile detention and released thereafter. Akash gave an interview on national TV, 3 weeks after the assault. Deepike died on Dec 29th, 2 weeks after the assault.
