TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, a cock-and-bull story played to the gallery, wasted my time. The portly middle-aged men and the bald head men are not funny (I mean all 4 of them). The gags and material has no taste and low wit, and I felt extremely uncomfortable of the romantic plot device, when the guy touched the God of Electric's body, that's so disgusting.
3/10 to DuJuan's goddess dress, that's th wonky thing that I'm satisfied in this movie. But the modern traffic police uniform doesn't fit her, she is so thin and this caused she looks quite abnormal when surrounded with normal people, especially centered of a bunch of mid-age men. In the other hand, DuJuan's image does not meet the role; According to the story, she supposed to be punished by the God down to the Earth and suffered many miserable poor lives, however, DuJuan's acting was not convincing at all.

Somebody was drinking when he wrote the script:) a totally nonsensical dizzying waste of time I could have spent watching paint dry. All the personality of American beer. Watch this only of you are really high.

The CGI images is some of the worst ever created, cheap and nasty. The brainless script isn't much better although the greed-themed human conflicts are amusing.

The story and performance are one of the worst. But together with the cheap looking VFX that look like it's been produced by failing VFX students make this MUCH MUCH worst and not worthy of even 1 stars.
I'm really writing this review because it's 100 times better than these reviews suggest. Films from other parts of the world are never likely to be Hollywood style Mega-Blockbusters but I find many to be entertaining because they're slightly different. There are many so-called great movies that bore me to tears. This movie kept my attention for the entire runtime. It's charming, it's funny and gosh darn it the special effects weren't supposed to make you feel like this was all really happening. Not everything has to be Marvel Cinematic Universe to be good.
The story line was contiguous and there weren't any "where did that come from?" or "did I miss something in the plot?" moments. Are the subtitles perfect? Of course not. Are the jokes universal? Some are and some go right past. But the basic interpretations of human nature are the same everywhere. Enjoy this movie for what it is instead of hating it for God knows why.

How much of Mythology, is really an Artistic Impression of Societal Predicaments. Just as the nature of comedies are often born from the most familiar contradictions. Like all film reviews, there are the ideologies that weaves the scripts and the sentiments that the production calls the director makes that splices scenes into reality. I confess. That the dreaded reviews this film had, had motivated my intents to write this review. This is a 2018 film, and I'm writing this four years after its release. Since its my fifth time rewatching it, you could tell, my affinity of its relevance is something that holds dear to me. There are several meticulous choices made by the director of this film, that nears the same magnitudes of charm that the Marvel/DC production possess. The story gambles on the fact that there are pre-existing cultural presumptions one has to understand, before one can appreciate a film like this. And I'm somewhat charmed by the fact that they didn't spend too much time running through the origin of these cultural archetypes. The casting was not directly obvious choices. But it is because that they are not obvious, that the story's done the job of convincing us, how these choices can so hauntingly seep into the ancient mythological archetypes from the judgements made from modern personality bias.
There are 4 previous reviews to this film. And non went above a 3 rating. So I shall dedicate the next half of my review about the pillar of this film maker's gamble. Humour. Only a comedian, has the audacity to take the arduous choice of adapting centuries of ancient mythological archetypes reconfiguring it to a modern context with ballsy choices. Like I said, appreciating Airpocalypse with no knowledge of the cultural background may well provide you with a different experience. But like all humour, gentle readers, they may come from a local place. And I am not from China. And I find the strands of humour pretty endearing. It's a funny film, and the momentum to it humour is amazingly consistent with how the storyline progresses. I implore you to flirt with a couple of hours of your life, to witness how unique this film is. Because I'll wish for more of this flavour of humour in my palette of films.
Like most of the filmophiles here, I rampage through films from all over the world as prescriptions to life's specificities. Some genres transcends time, some get consumed by time. However resourcefulness the world may appear to be, no production will ever have the capability to re-enact films from genres lost. Airpocalypse may not be a masterpiece. But there's a playfulness and ballsyness, that comes from somewhere honest, existing in a market that doesn't always appreciate a gem from it's value.
I'll give it 10 stars. Because that's how much I'll like to watch a sequel to this.
