There is a wildcard at every wedding, but in the case of “You’re Cordially Invited,” there are two. And they are played by Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon.
Now streaming on Prime, the film directed by Nicholas Stoller centers on two families who unknowingly double book their weddings at the same small inn — an inn that can really only accommodate one wedding. For Jim (Ferrell), it is his daughter’s, and for Margot (Witherspoon), it is her sister’s. Naturally, the two immediately go insane, trying to force the other to back down.
Somehow, Ferrell and Witherspoon have never led a comedy together, but they are doing it now with a very familiar cast.
Here are the major players you need to know.

This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe. The filmmakers behind Freaky, Happy Death Day and Werewolves Within join forces for this year’s slasher movie Heart Eyes, and the brand new official trailer has arrived ahead of the film’s release only in theaters on February 7, 2025.

We have the recent box office success of the Scream and Halloween franchises, coupled with Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving back in 2023, to thank for the return of the holiday slasher movie, which was of course a staple of the genre back in the 1980s. It should likely come as no surprise that the upcoming Valentine’s Day slasher Heart Eyes received an appropriate slasher rating, and that R-rated stamp comes ahead of the film’s full trailer arriving next week.
The slasher is set to arrive in theaters on February 7, 2025.
Heart Eyes has been rated “R” for “strong violence and gore, language and some sexual content.”
In the film, “For the past several years, the Heart Eyes Killer has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe.”
Heart Eyes’ first red-band teaser signaled an R-rated slasher ahead, complete with a brutal kill, but it’s nice to receive official confirmation that this horror movie will embrace the holiday’s “red“ color scheme via bloodletting and gore.
Josh Ruben is directing the Valentine’s Day-themed horror movie, with Mason Gooding (Scream) and Olivia Holt (“Cruel Summer”) starring.

Even if you didn’t watch The Real Bros of Simi Valley during its three-season run, it’s likely you’ve seen GIFs or clips of a handful of scenes as they’ve made their way around the internet the last few years. The two most popular are easily “Bro, I’m straight up not having a good time” and “Yo Xan, get your boy, dawg.” As great as those moments are, they’re just a glimpse into what the show had to offer. So how does it fare as a movie, nearly four years after its last episode?

Victoria Justice was one of the biggest teen stars of the 2000s, appearing in TV shows like Victorious, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and iCarly. However, the actor surprisingly made a large salary for Zoey 101, despite only having a supporting role.
Victoria Justice’s role on ‘Zoey 101’
Justice began acting when she was 10 years old with a small part in an episode of Gilmore Girls. Just two years later, she scored the gig on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101. Justice played Lola Martinez, the main character Zoey’s (played by Jamie Lynn Spears) boarding school roommate.
Her character debuted in Season 2 of the popular teen show. Lola was an aspiring actor with dreams of Hollywood stardom. She often put her acting skills to use during various schemes she and the rest of the characters pulled off, from disguising herself as a goth or a boy, to faking a British accent.

There are hundreds of social-media stars, each with millions of fans. Now a new startup, Creator Plus, is launching a studio and a streaming service to give big-name creators a platform for feature films.
The company was founded by Benjamin Grubbs, former global head of top creator partnerships at YouTube, and Silicon Valley tech investor and entrepreneur Jonathan Shambroom (who was once Gm of the Crackle streaming service).
The duo say Creator Plus (creatorplus.com) has raised $12 million in funding from Malaysia-based investment firm Petra Group and Freestyle Capital, as well as entrepreneurial creators Jake Roper, Peter Hollens, Wendy Ayche (aka Wengie), tech veterans including Selina Tobaccowala, and strategic business partners including Jazwares CEO Judd Zebersky.

NBC’s Rachele Lynn and Seth Meyers pilot “Crazy For You” has found its cast.
The single-camera comedy has tapped Shelley Hennig as the main character, as well as Alice Lee, Tiana Okoye and Nick Cafero in series regular roles.

Realizing she is a bit rusty at being “normal” and “appealing” on first dates, she’ll need the support of her friends as she strives to succeed while being her true self in today’s quick-to-dismiss dating culture.
Hennig’s Daisy is described as a sweet and charming assistant at a publishing company. Her previous TV credits include MTV’s “Teen Wolf” and “Days of Our Lives.” On the film front, her biggest credits are on...

Freeform is developing a “Dante’s Inferno” drama series, a reimagining of the 14th century epic poem set in present-day Los Angeles, a spokesperson for the network told TheWrap.
The series is described as following Grace Dante, “who thought her life sucked. Between parenting her drug addict mother and her troubled brother, our 20-something hero has had to give up all her dreams. Then one day everything changes and her dreams start magically coming true, school, career, love… but the godfather of all this good fortune is the Devil himself. And to outwit him, she’ll have to journey through Dante’s Inferno.”
Dante Alighieri’s narrative poem “The Divine Comedy,” widely considered one of the greatest works of Western literature, is told in three parts: Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso, or Hell, Purgatory and Heaven. The poem tells the soul’s journey towards God in the afterlife, told from a medieval world view.

After creating “The Real Bros of Simi Valley” for his YouTube channel, LifeAccordingToJimmy, star Jimmy Tatro wanted to go bigger and better for the sophomore season.
“Season 1 was able to live on YouTube because I financed it and we just did it,” Tatro tells Variety. “Season 2, I wasn’t really interested in losing that much money again, and we wanted to do it on a larger scale.”
The second season of the comedy series, about five millennial best friends living in Southern California, debuted on Facebook Watch back in November.
During a Monday night screening of the season’s final two episodes held at the United Talent Agency in Beverly Hills, Calif., Tatro said the absurd drama and countless spinoffs of the “Real Housewives” reality series helped him form the idea for “Simi Valley.”
“One of the original inspirations for this show was talking about how many cities were popping up for ‘Real Housewives,...
