I watched the first episode when it was released because I thought it sounded original and interesting. I was blown away by the quality in just the first couple of episodes. Fantastic and funny writing, characters, voice actors and amazing animation and each episode just gets better and better. I binged the manga after the first couple of episodes and the source material is fantastic as well (and still ongoing so let's hope for at least 1 more season) but you can tell the creators of the anime really but their hearts into this one.
Hilarious, beautiful, and enticing I whole heatedly recommend this show. 10/10

It is immensely enjoyable to watch Shinomiya and Shirogane's love story unfold. The character Chika also fits into the show in a funny way. This show is spectacular, and I would highly reccomend watching it.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War in my opinion is one of the best rom-com anime ever and a breath of fresh air into the genre that every anime fan need to check out even when the reason you know about the show is through the infamous dance scene of ep 3 that make the whole community lose their mind. The characters are awesome and well developed while the comedy is absurdly funny in a Monogatari kind of way. The two main character Shirogane and Shinomiya is no doubt my best anime couple of the season and fan favorite character Fujiwara is also a strong contender for the best supporing female character role but all my heart and support goes out to Yu Ishigami a.k.a OUR GUY because he a character that speak what on everybody mind and represent a majority of the viewer in a bad but funny light

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is an unconventional romance that is funny and cute with a lot of hilariously exaggerated scenes that add to it's already brilliant premise of two narcissists trying to get the other to confess. It's a great comedy, and a cute romance. And this show's narrator is just a joy to listen to. Backed up by quality animation and voice acting, it's a really good time. I also highly encourage anyone who likes this show to check out the original manga, which delivers on the same clever humor and cute romance, but also tells a more cohesive story instead of being more of a slice of life type of affair

A story about an epic love between Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya. Brilliant plot, full of outstanding details. No fillers. Just crème de la crème of the girls strawberry. Hilarious, cute, warm and infinitely tender love war from the first second to the final song in 12 episodes. "Go Kaguya! Go!" You should watch it. Just stop and watch. Immediately.
This anime is definitely the best comedy anime for this season it's a living meme
The plot of the show is way too cheesy for me but the characters are amazing and bring a strong feeling of moe. The show definitely has its moments and I do want season 2.

If there's an anime that is hilarious but deep, then this is the one! Love is War is one of the most unforgettable animes ever! The love/rivalry between Shinomiya and Shirogane is a hilarious and entertaining story, and the animation is just incredible! Even the other characters, Fujiwara and Ishigami, are so well fleshed out and they just make me laugh my head off! Season 2 is also an absolute blast, and introduced a new character, Miko, while fleshing out the original gang! This anime never fails to amaze, and it is definitely one of the most iconic animes of the recent years!

The base of the story is this. Our two leads are both passive and prideful so each is hoping the other will make the first move.
And that's the show. It's mostly visual gags and cheap laughs so sit back and don't take it too seriously.
Sadly because the leads are so passive it's the side characters that shine. Chika is the only pro-active character which is why she's so popular among fans.
The Narrator (yes, he's an actual character) is very hit or miss. Like that one guy talking over a movie thinking people are more interested in his commentary than the movie itself.
Sadly suffers from poor writing and inconsistent characters so I can't rate it higher but it's an entertaining show.

I made my IMDB account just to review this. I usually don't like rom-coms, but I am always floored by the ability of each episode to pull at my heartstrings. This is the most wholesome piece of media in existence.

Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya are the president and vice-president of the prestigious Shuchiin Academy. They are also madly in love but too proud to confess. Every interaction of the two becomes a ferocious chess game where they try to goad each other into confessing their love.
The main issue of this show is that the premise is really all there is to it. Both Kaguya and Miyuki are one-dimensional characters: Kaguya is the sheltered and obscenely rich heiress of a powerful family that acts like a classical 'tsundere'; Miyuki is the hard-working commoner that is the envy of every boy at his school. This is the totality of their characterisations. They are madly in love because the premise deems it so, and they are too proud to admit it to each other because otherwise the story would be over (even though they are both portrayed as shy and vulnerable in practically every episode).
The story of this show is paper thin, which is also why each episode is itself split into two to three unrelated scenes. A rather annoying narrator keeps score who the winner or loser of the respective encounter is, which forces each scene into a mould that doesn't quite fit many of them. It doesn't help that the "ferocious chess match" between the characters is about as clever as a bored middle school student of mediocre talent would come up with while trying to avoid doing homework (and if someone in the audience still didn't understand what happened, the narrator will gladly explain it).
While I'm not the biggest fan of romantic shows, I was greatly entertained by 'Dusk Maiden of Amnesia' and enjoyed 'Hamefura' or instant classics like 'My Dress-Up Darling' or 'Nagatoro-san'. None of those shows bored me to tears, but 'Kaguya-sama' made me abandon the show after the first five episodes. How they managed to drag this out across three seasons, I have no idea.
That being said, those who do enjoy Will-They-Won't-They shows or pseudo-intellectual chess matches have a near-perfect show in this. The art style is unique but pretty, the direction is solid, even the English dub is of great quality. Personally, I'll stay away from this one and look for something with more intricate characters and a less repetitive and more cohesive story.

The whole anime is annoying because there is always that stupid commentry.
Some people could like it but rating it 10 stars is way too much. It doesn't even sound funny rather nonsense being blabbered all the time.
Overhyped and Overrated!
I still think Fruits Basket is the best Anime in the Romance genre.

This show is the most consistent, funny, heartwarming, entertaining, relatable, thing I have ever seen. It's nicer to have someone to make me so happy and make me laugh so hard and then proceed to punch me in the gut with emotion cause you love the characters so much. Oh and the cast is my favourite in any show ever. Kaguya and Miyuki are amazing protagonists, Ishigami is not only hilarious but only so tragic and Chika is so entertaining she just gives me pure joy. Every single episode is funny or entertaining. I love the struggles all the characters have, it's so real and raw. Did I mention the humor? Cause Kaguya is genuinely one of the funniest things I've seen in my life. This show makes me cry from the jokes and emotion. This show is a masterpiece!!! IT GOES HARD!!

Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya are in love with each other. However, they don't want to confess it as they think doing so would hurt their pride. They cannot also resist the feelings for each other and always long for each others' attention. They have to try their best not to give away even a slightest of the hint and instead desperately try to plot wicked schemes so as to try to make or force the other person to confess first. They believe whoever does so first would lose.
Overall, the anime is hilarious and it's obvious that while discussing this anime, you won't discuss its storyline. There is no room for such discussion. Instead, you would discuss about some of its iconic or hilarious scenes. The season 1 was out and out a hilarious one. The season 2 is hilarious too but it has some very serious moments, which could make you contemplate about your own life. Sometimes, the narration and some random situation is exaggerated and you might feel bored but most of the time, it's a good laugh and you would enjoy watching it.
This show has some very funny and intense characters. Its not difficult to figure out that both the main characters Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are typical Tsundere. In fact, one of them could even be a flag bearer of this era of Tsundereness. Among the supporting characters, Fujiwara Chika is an airhead and she is there mostly for the comic relief. The one character who literally stands out is Ishigami Yu. A kind of an introvert, with whom any Otaku could relate and the way his character was developed in the season 2 was amazing. You cannot help but feel proud of him. The new character Iino Miko isn't much into romance or comedy so far but just like Kaguya and Miyuki, she too has an habit of overthinking. Hayasaki Ai too cannot be ignored. She is one hell of a maid.
The anime has some amazing theme songs and they really suit to this kind of a theme. Out of those, Chikatto Chika chika is easily the best song. Although, appeared for only one episode of season 1, both the song and the Chika dance are classic and unforgettable.
Is this anime recommendable? I don't know. In this case, a lot would depend on one's preference. I have enjoyed this anime and I have rated it accordingly.

To be honest, this is one of those rare manga that you truly enjoy. The story is real fun... And i mean actually fun..... And their are really very few manga in rom com gener that do job as fine as this one.
I recommend you 1st watch 1st and 2nd seasons and get a good hold of the characters and then start reading the manga.

I'm a guy in his early 30s who loves a good comedy series and after watching so many, it's kinda hard to make me laugh. It's been so long a series hadn't make me laught out loud so much. I started waching it at 20:00 and went to bed at 13:00. The writing is amazing and the characters are so interesting. Loved everu episode 10/10.
