Such a refreshing new car show that doesn't even require a lover of cars. The show was created by Courtney Hansen's heart, who is just as awesome off camera as you see her on camera. With the help of Troy Ladd and his expertise in rebuilding cars, this dream team takes their love for cars to TV and surprises these deserving families with their Ride that Got Away. You might remember Courtney from Overhaulin and Spike TV. She isn't just a pretty face... Courtney jumps right in with Troy and the team to make dreams a reality. Courtney's long history in the automotive industry sure excels on the show. The Ride that Got Away will touch your heart... be prepared to shed some tears as the stories unfold.

Have you seen those emotional stories or videos on the internet about people who have lost their treasured cars and how they were eventually reunited with them so many years later? Like the son who finds his Dad's old car and surprises him with it? Real heartfelt, tear-jerker, car stories. They make me cry every time. THE RIDE THAT GOT AWAY is NOT like that. This show is more about glitz and glamour. 50% pretty host. 50% pretty cars. 0% heart and emotion. The stories seem almost fabricated and scripted like so many other shows on television. Nothing special. I for one, definitely won't miss it when this show goes away. Not a fan.

And yes, the guys can watch and enjoy car builds. Yes, the entire family can watch an emotional and heart felt story. With each reveal, it tugs at the heart and reminds us that there are so many good people in this world.
Always leaves the viewer with an emotional high. And that is a WIN! Thanks Courtney and Troy plus History for jumping on this show. Looking forward to Season #2! This is a must watch series.

Her inclusion renders the show unwatchable.
Her attempt to appear knowledgeable and animated is a hard fail.
