What if I told you that the late directing legend George Romero wrote and directed an ahead-of-its-time “one bad day” revenge slasher classic back in 2000 that mixed Michael Douglas in Falling Down with Michael Myers from Halloween and featured a live performance by The Misfits… yet no one noticed? It would take Robert Stack and a special episode of Unsolved Mysteries to uncover how a film that was arguably one of George Romero’s best films in the second half of his career went completely unnoticed, and stayed that way even as we speak today… This is just what happened to Bruiser.
Look for yourself and you’ll find a very thin file on the existence of Bruiser (watch it Here). To craft even the video you’re watching right now we had to reach into the time vault of eBay and find a DVD copy featuring a commentary from...

The season four premiere of Outer Banks brought the Netflix show back onto the streaming charts — but with only half a season released this time, it fell well short of its last premiere.
The YA drama delivered 1.19 billion minutes of viewing for the week of Oct. 7-13 (season four debuted Oct. 10), good for second place overall in Nielsen’s streaming rankings. By comparison, season three’s opening week in February 2023 — which featured the entire season released at once — drew 3.15 billion minutes of watch time.
The half-season release (part two premiered Thursday) for Outer Banks undoubtedly played a part in the lower viewing time total. Season four of Emily in Paris similarly had a sizable decline with a half-season premiere in August (but season three of Bridgerton in May did not).
Netflix’s dating show Love Is Blind led the Oct. 7-13 charts with 1.23 billion minutes of viewing; no other show crossed the 1 billion mark.

It also moved up one spot in the overall rankings, as the prior week’s second-place title, Inside Out 2, dropped by 50 percent to a still strong 908 million minutes of viewing on Disney+.
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story finished first overall for the third consecutive week with 1.41 billion minutes of viewing, down about 41 percent week to week. Netflix’s dating show Love Is Blind returned to the charts with a billion-minute week; its seventh season premiered on Oct. 2.

No matter how many times the U.S. government tells us there’s nothing to see in the skies, we just can’t seem to shake the feeling that something out there is watching.
Even after the Department of Defense’s latest attempt to debunk UFOs, pop culture’s love affair with aliens shows no signs of slowing down.
TV and movies, especially, are practically begging us to believe we’re not alone.

Whether it’s little green men or sleek, mysterious ships, the alien invasion is alive and well in entertainment.

Unsolved Mysteries volume 5, episode 4, "The Roswell UFO Incident" revisits the story it first covered in 1989. The original Unsolved Mysteries show opened with the famous and controversial incident in July 1947 when rancher Mac Brazel discovered unexplainable wreckage on the land he tended near Roswell, New Mexico. Brazel reported his find to the Roswell Army Air Field nearby, who despatched Major Jesse Macey to the site to investigate. His initial findings prompted an astonishingly upfront press release declaring "Raaf Captures Flying Saucer," followed two days later by a further statement disavowing the first, claiming the debris was nothing more than "a harmless high-altitude weather balloon."
It would be 30 years before Jesse Macey revealed the truth of what happened at Roswell between those two statements. In 1989, and having been diagnosed with a terminal illness, Marcel did not want to go to his grave without telling the truth. He was backed by his son,...

As inch toward the end of 2024, Netflix fans are starting to worry. Will your favorite show be renewed or canceled? Will that show you just started binge-watching not return for another season? How many established shows will have their final seasons this year or even next year? There's already a fair bit we know about the Netflix shows that have been renewed so far in 2024.
On Jan. 7, Netflix wasted no time to announce the first renewal of the year. The Korean horror-drama series Gyeongseong Creature landed a second season renewal just a few weeks after its initial premiere on Netflix in December 2023. In the latest season of Unsolved Mysteries, there is an episode following a paranormal investigator, Don, and his ghostly helper, Becky, yet Becky's story isn't as straightforward as it first seems. Unsolved Mysteries originated as a popular true crime show in 1987. After 12 seasons, the series was revived in a number of places, but it is Netflix's 2020 reboot that has lasted. Recently, Netflix's Unsolved Mysteries Volume 5 was released, and this four-episode season dives into inexplicable cases of true crime and some of the most confounding supernatural cases in the world.
In episode 2, Unsolved Mysteries follows Don and his incredible paranormal abilities, which are aided by a ghost who calls herself Becky. Throughout the episode, viewers get to see how Don met Becky, and how the pair have proven themselves to be an outstanding paranormal duo. With Becky's help, Don has been able to track down information that he never would have been privy to before.

The fifth volume of Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries reboot dropped less than a week ago, and fans have had some very stark reactions to the quartet of new episodes. The four episodes for the new season, which arrived on the streamer last Wednesday (October 2), centered on a double-murder in Cleveland, a man who has a paranormal work partner, a potential cult attack on cows, and reports of a UFO sighting in the late ’40s. Considering at least half, if not more, of these episodes have a supernatural bend, some fans were not pleased with the cases at hand in Volume 5 and expressed their dismay on social media. One fan, for example, described the new season’s content as “all paranormal, UFO sh** again,” while another wrote, “Did they give up … How did you produce two trash a** volumes in a row. With the arrival of volumes four and five of Netflix's hugely popular Unsolved Mysteries after a two-year hiatus, true-crime-hungry fans are looking forward to a new set of unexplained deaths or perplexing disappearances to get their teeth into. The original Unsolved Mysteries show, which ran from 1988 to 2010, famously had a hand in solving hundreds of the cases it featured, naturally raising the question of whether, since its reboot under Netflix's banner in 2020, the new show has had a similar impact.
Solving cases takes time, effort, and often the public's cooperation. Five volumes and four years after the reboot, Unsolved Mysteries has yet to solve as many cases as the original, but there remains plenty of time to do so. The new Netflix show's time will come, but to date, there's just one case the series can justifiably claim to have brought to a close, while a couple more have been significantly impacted.

The first weekend of October has arrived, and for most of us, that means it's finally time to start our annual Halloween movie marathons. It's the season of Hocus Pocus and horror movies and all things witchy and spooky, which accounts for one of the three top Netflix new releases this weekend.
This week, Netflix dropped a ton of new movies and shows, including throwbacks and recent favorites alike. Among the new additions are Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Yellowjackets season 1, Psycho, Halloween, Robin Hood, It Chapter Two, and so many more.
There's something for everyone to watch this weekend, especially if you're still catching up on recently released Netflix originals like Nobody Wants This, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, and Unsolved Mysteries volume 5.
But if you're looking to dive into some new releases, should you check out the new horror comedy movie It's What's Inside?...

Netflix just released the fifth volume of Unsolved Mysteries, and episode 4 tells the true story of the Roswell UFO incident. In July 1947, there were multiple reports of a potential UFO sighting, but it did not become a worldwide phenomenon until the 1980s when Major Jesse Marcel, the man who took responsibility for the recovered debris, decided to reveal the truth about the incident. The show initially covered the Roswell incident in the original Unsolved Mysteries, but there have been significant updates in the last 35 years, prompting additional coverage of the sensational case.
The Roswell UFO incident has sparked a cultural movement that resulted in many works of fiction, including the popular TV show Roswell and the 2019 reboot, Roswell, New Mexico. Although many consider the incident solved because of the Roswell Reports released in the 1990s, many more believe the case is still cold because the government is covering it up.

Although many consider the incident solved because of the Roswell Reports released in the 1990s, many more believe the case is still cold because the government is covering it up.

This year’s Transformers One takes the lore and explores how both Optimus Prime and Megatron went from practically brothers to becoming bitter enemies. But back in 1987, an epic movie version of the popular animated television show would bring their battle to the big screen for the first time. It’s Transformers: The Movie on this episode of Revisited.
The Background and the plot
The Transformers cartoon from 1984 was one of several children’s shows that was made explicitly to sell toys. It joined the likes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe and Voltron. However, this is a good example of “if you can make a product that’s cool enough, we won’t dwell on the shallow corporate reason for its existence.” Kids everywhere in the 80s loved the varied vehicles and characters and the creativity of unfolding and switching parts to turn it into a fighting soldier robot.

Unsolved Mysteries is a brand-new Netflix original show that takes a deep dive into several types of cases that went unsolved. The first episode is about the infamous double murders that happened at Cleveland Metroparks’ Rocky River Reservation in the year 2019.
Who found two people murdered by the bench and the river?
The episode began with Tony and Kaitlin Vacha reaching the riverside portion of Cleveland Metroparks’ Rocky River Reservation after 5:15 Pm, only to find two lifeless bodies; one by the bench, the other by the river. Kaitlin claimed the body of the man by the bench felt warm. This helped her and her boyfriend conclude that the death must have happened very recently, just before their arrival. Kaitlin went back to her car, and on the way, she noticed a truck standing by and a person inside it. Tony frantically asked her to call the police and the phone call,...

Fall is here, which means it’s time to bundle up on your couch and stream the weekend away. Let’s get into it: There’s plenty to enjoy in October on Netflix, from a new Ali Wong special to new seasons of shows like “Love Is Blind” and “Unsolved Mysteries.” The real unsolved mystery is how it feels like there is more “Love Is Blind” dropping every month, but I digress.
October also brings with it the chance to watch Season 1 of “Yellowjackets” (a Showtime hit) for the first time on the Netflix platform, as well as more “Outer Banks” and “The Lincoln Lawyer.” The best bet, however, is the return of Keri Russell.
Top Pick: “The Diplomat” Season 2

Despite the supernatural elements, Jeepers Creepers' true story sets aspects of the movie in reality. The film, written and directed by Victor Salva and executive produced by the legendary Francis Ford Coppola, features then-starlets Justin Long and Gina Philips as sibling duo Darry and Trish Jenner who become the targets of a demonic villain known simply as "the Creeper" after witnessing the monster loading bodies into a truck. They are then exposed to the mythology of the terrifying creature who hunts every 23 years, taking various body parts from its victims.
The film's savage ending, in which the back of Darry's head and eyes are removed, sets up important "Creeper" canon and ensures several equally popular Jeepers Creepers sequels. Despite the modest budget, the movie became a surprise hit at the box office and continued to develop a strong following on video, spawning two Jeepers Creepers sequels as well as a...

In its second week on Netflix, Prison Break rocketed to the top of Nielsen’s streaming rankings.
The former Fox series, which also streams on Hulu, was added to Netflix on July 29 and made its streaming chart debut that week. For the week of Aug. 5-11, it more than doubled the previous frame’s viewing time, rising from 758 million to 1.6 billion minutes. Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy — whose final season premiered Aug. 8 — was the top original series for the week, coming in at 1.46 billion minutes of viewing. “Why true crime?” is a question you may have asked others or perhaps yourself, depending on where you fall within the true crime industrial complex that has permeated popular culture. Even classifying true crime as “popular culture” feels irresponsible, but that’s exactly what it is: the massive popularity of the Serial podcast and Netflix serial killer fictionalizations like Dahmer have captivated the same morbidly curious generation that grew up with the Oj Simpson trial, Unsolved Mysteries, and Rotten.com— we’ve just further normalized it and have become increasingly comfortable with our fascination of it. But should we be?

The high-profile murder of former White House aide Jack Wheeler is featured in Unsolved Mysteries, and while the 47-minute episode covers a lot of information, there are some details left out. His wife, Kathy Klyce, last saw him on the morning of December 28, and on December 31, 2010, Wheeler's remains were discovered in the Cherry Island Landfill in Wilmington, Delaware. While the investigators were able to trace the body to a dumpster in Newark, Delaware, how he got in the dumpster and who is responsible is still a mystery.
Jack Wheeler's death was disconcerting for several reasons. He was a well-connected man with strong ties to the US government and high-security clearance. At the time of his death, he was working as a consultant for the Mitre Corporation, dealing specifically with cybersecurity. There have been persistent theories that Jack's connections to high-ranking officials or his line of work made him the target of a hit-for-hire.

The Olympics brought in very strong streaming numbers for Peacock during the first full week of the games. For other streamers? Not so much.
No original series or movie made the overall top 10 titles in Nielsen’s streaming rankings for the week of July 29-Aug. 4. That’s a first in the four-year history of the weekly rankings, according to the ratings service. Streaming levels outside of the Olympics “decreased significantly” during the week, Nielsen says.
House of the Dragon, however, continued its strong showing on Max (since the show also airs on HBO, Nielsen considers it an acquired series rather than an original). The Game of Thrones prequel topped the week leading up to its second season finale with 1.31 billion minutes of viewing, up from 1.04 billion a week earlier and its best mark of the season so far.
