I love this game! It's very enjoyable and includes great atmosphere as well! The feeling of terror with every step and horror behind every corner is so amazing. Keep on the great job, Glowstick entertainment team!
It's such a good game, I'm waiting for the other chapters but I give it a 10/10
Plot
Death awaits you in Dark Deception, a story-driven first-person horror maze game. There's nowhere to hide and nowhere to catch your breath. Run or die - it's your choice. Trapped in a realm of nightmarish mazes with a mysterious woman, your only hope of survival is to find a way to escape the darkness.
Cast
Not familiar with anyone involved.
Verdict
When I first booted up Dark Deception I was fascinated, the initial stage is simplistic but enjoyable. Sure the premise doesn't make all too much sense as you run around collecting crystals from a maze as if you're pac-man but I was gripped. Alas the frustrating mechanics left me enjoying it yet frustrated.
The further I went in the more I experienced the same feelings. It looks great, it's full of great ideas and feels often like a AAA game but something was missing and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
The game is merciless so prepare for a challenge and in no way is that a criticism, but the difficulty + this mysterious unidentifiable missing element brought me a lot of frustration. Furthermore the randomness of it, lack of coherent story and general glue that holds it together kept me annoyed that this potentially great game just wasn't meeting said potential.
Dark Deception to me is a great foundation for a potentially great series. Alas looking at the age of the game I think this is the pinnacle of Dark Deception, shame.
Rants
The fact that another review is praising the game because the rabbits and the undead faceless nurses are "Hot" really does bring me back down to earth about the state of the gaming community. Trolls and children, this kind of stuff is why I immediately mute people when I go into an online lobby.
Oh and upon investigation 100% of the other reviews are shilled, zero other activity on them except the review singing its praises. For shame!
The Good
Looks great Some solid ideas Very enjoyable for the most part
The Bad
Mechanics can be frustrating Feels oddly incomplete Never meets its potential.

It is 100% worth buying the full dlc. This game is so good and chapter 4 is the best imo, Lucky the rabbit is pretty hot ngl. (So are the reaper nurses) if you like horror and you like pac man, play this game! Anyways yeah I cant wait for chapter 5. There are quite a few bugs especially in chapter 4 but theyre not too game breaking. Solid 8/10 game <3.
