The Dceu had its fair share of misses, but Aquaman wasn’t one of them, hence, we got two of them! Over a year after his last splash as Ocean Master, Patrick Wilson is finally speaking out about the franchise and his possible future in James Gunn’s Dcu.

Patrick Wilson wouldn’t be upset if a third ‘Aquaman’ movie doesn’t happen. The 51-year-old actor portrayed Orm ‘Ocean Master’ - the redeemed brother of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman A.K.A. Arthur Curry - in the two DC superhero blockbusters but isn't desperate to return for another movie as he doesn't think there is much more to explore in terms of his character. In an interview with Variety, the ‘Insidious’ star said: "Was I hoping it would be more? I don’t think so."I mean, I say this as a guy who’s done several ‘Insidious’ movies, several ‘Conjurings’, a couple ‘Aquaman’. It’s not like there’s a stigma to me against sequels. It’s just when you look at the structure of Orm — bad guy in the first one, basically a good guy in the second one — I don’t know where else he goes.

Filmmaker Terry Gilliam has been working on a new movie that was previously titled The Carnival at the End of Days. However, new reports suggest that the film has been renamed as Carnival, with major updates surrounding its plot and cast. But among all, what caught our attention is Jason Momoa’s name in the list of actors associated with the project.

While it’s already known that Terry Gilliam has tapped Johnny Depp to appear in his upcoming movie; now Jason Momoa’s appearance alongside Depp has sparked some gossip. It seems that people no longer need to rely on Momoa’s fake court video from the Depp vs. Heard trial, wherein he appeared trashing Amber Heard while supporting her ex-husband. It now seems that Momoa has already become Team Depp, for Carnival.

It's been just over two years since James Gunn, director of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy, and producer Peter Safran took over as the heads of DC Studios. Tasked by Warner Bros. with rebooting the DC Universe under one unified umbrella, things are finally coming together, with Gunn's "Superman" set to hit theaters this summer. As the property enters full steam ahead mode, Gunn and Safran have reflected on what went wrong with the universe they inherited.
During a special press event attended by /Film's Bill Bria, Gunn and Safran addressed many questions about the new DC Universe. At one point, talk turned to what was commonly referred to as the DC Extended Universe, aka the Snyderverse, which kicked off with Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" in 2013 and ended with 2023's "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom." Safran explained that, from the perspective, the failure of the previous...

Imax released its fourth quarter earnings on Wednesday and posted higher net earnings on rising overall revenues.
That came as tentpoles like Gladiator II, Venom: The Last Dance and Mufasa: The Lion King performed best on its screens during the latest financial period. A year earlier, Imax had Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Wonka on the cinema technology company’s big screen network.
Overall fourth-quarter revenue came to $92.7 million, up 8 percent from a year-earlier $86 million. Amid a box office recovery for Hollywood coming out of the pandemic, Imax is looking to leverage increasing demand for new and upgraded theater systems worldwide.
The large-format exhibitor recorded net income of $5.2 million, which compared to a profit of $2.5 million in the same period last year. During the latest quarter, the adjusted per-share profit in Q4 came to 27 cents, a sharp improvement from year-earlier per-share profit of 11 cents.

It was all going well for Amber Heard’s career until she wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post, which led to a messy legal drama between her and her ex-husband Johnny Depp. While both actors’ careers were damaged during their feud, Depp’s has been on the mend, while Heard’s appears to have suffered irrevocable damages.

As a result, the actress is currently residing in Spain, and there are rumors that she has quit Hollywood for good. While we do not know whether such rumors are true or not, we do know that Hollywood seems to have sidelined her after she lost the defamation trial.

Jason Momoa will soon be debuting as Lobo in James Gunn and Peter Safran's rebooted DC Universe, and new Dcu art has now brought this perfect casting to life. Jason Momoa made his DC debut as Arthur Curry's Aquaman in a cameo in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before making his first full appearance in 2017's Justice League. Jason Momoa's casting as Aquaman was always a curious choice, but the Game of Thrones and See actor has recently been recast, and his new role couldn't be more perfect.

“Survive till ’25” has been the mantra of the movie theater business — heck, the entire film industry — ever since pandemic-related delays and Hollywood’s labor strikes wreaked havoc on studio slates and production calendars. Several would-be 2024 blockbusters, like Tom Cruise’s eighth “Mission Impossible” and Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” were pushed into this calendar year instead, providing 2025 with a profusion of movies that everyone hopes will claw the box office back to something approaching its pre-covid glory.

Jason Momoa trading his Aquaman crown for Lobo’s leather jacket sounds intriguing, but is it the right move? Stepping away from the underwater world of Arthur Curry, Momoa is now set to bring the iconic antihero Lobo to life in the DC Universe. Known for his rugged looks and larger-than-life personality, Momoa seems like a natural fit for the Main Man.

Momoa will appear in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, starring Milly Alcock as the titular heroine. At first glance, Jason Momoa’s striking resemblance to the comic book version of Lobo might make him seem like the ideal pick. But looks can be deceiving. Portraying a character isn’t just about appearance, it takes a bit of nuance and the right vibe to nail the role. Here are three reasons why DC might’ve fumbled in casting Momoa as Lobo.

The only clues as to what happened are a shark’s tooth and a strange metal device on the corpse. That’s enough to send them running, although once we see the CGI fin slicing through the ground, we know they’re doomed.
That is both an exciting and problematic development for Dr. Eric Nesbitt and Major Jennifer Hawkes (Angela Wilding). Exciting in that the creature they created is still alive, problematic in the fact that it’s out of control and needs to be killed without compromising the project’s secrecy. The solution is to bring in what are supposed to be highly trained soldiers,...

The news broke yesterday that Aquaman star Jason Momoa will play the Dcu's Lobo.
The actor first played Arthur Curry in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and later reprised the role in Justice League (2017), Aquaman (2018), Peacemaker (2022), The Flash (2023) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023).
The latter was poorly received and grossed a disappointing $439 million worldwide compared to the $1 billion earned by its predecessor. The sequel marking his final appearance as Aquaman was no secret but whether he'd get a second chance in the Dcu as Lobo was left up in the air.
Sharing an excerpt from a ComicBookMovie.com article, Momoa announced his casting as The Main Man on Instagram. James Gunn later welcomed him to the Dcu and the trades confirmed that he'll first play Lobo in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

When the Dceu finally came to a close last Christmas with James Wan's subaqueous sequel Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom, it seemed likely we had seen the last of Jason Momoa — aka Arthur Curry, aka the titular King of Atlantis — in the DC Universe. And yet, while Aquaman and the Dceu may be done and dusted, it appears that reports of Momoa's exit from DC's future plans have been greatly exaggerated. Per THR's reporting, Momoa is set to make a heel turn as alien bounty hunter Lobo in DC Studios' upcoming Milly Alcock starrer Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow. And former Game Of Thrones man Momoa took to Instagram to share the exciting news, as you can see below:

I'm thrilled that the upcoming Superman reboot in the DC Universe seems to be about to break a disappointing romance trend in recent superhero projects, as James Gunn will spotlight the powerful relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane. For quite some time, I've noticed that superhero movies and TV shows have seriously been lacking good romantic relationships. Too many have major problems, flaws and red flags, and are doomed to fail, so I'm excited about the prospect of an honest-to-goodness love story being told in James Gunn's new Superman reboot.
I love love, and I am a huge fan of seeing romantic relationships blossom in among the action and drama of a superhero franchise. We've seen some iconic romances from Marvel and DC Comics grace our screens over the years, but these relationships are seldom easy and actually enjoyable to watch. Jason Momoa is staying in the DC Studios family.
The actor, who previously appeared as Aquaman in several DC comics films including two standalones, will co-star as Lobo the intergalactic bounty hunter in the upcoming “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.” Milly Alcock plays the title role, with direction being handled by Craig Gillespie. It’s currently scheduled to start shooting next month in London and Iceland and will be released on June 26, 2026.
Momoa had long lobbied to play the character, basically an outer space biker and who was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen in “Omega Men” #3 back in June 1983. Over the years, various attempts at giving the character his own film have been mounted. In 2009 Guy Ritchie took on the project, with Brad Peyton and Joel Silver attempting the project in 2012 (with Dwayne Johnson in talks to play the character). Aquaman star Jason Momoa is staying in the DC fold. The actor will appear in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow as Lobo, the alien bounty hunter who first appeared in the comics in 1983, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

With the DC Universe's new rendition of Superman just around the corner, I can't help but reflect on Henry Cavill's tenure and how one scene in particular makes me miss the erstwhile Man of Steel. The DC Universe is already underway with Creature Commandos now airing on Max, but its live-action cinematic offerings will commence with James Gunn's Superman on July 11, 2025. The release date falls a year and a half after the Dceu released its final movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and nearly three years since the announcement that Henry Cavill would no longer embody the role.
Cavill's departure is indicative of DC Studios' intention to draw a line beneath the preceding era. Aside from a handful of exceptions, most of the Dceu's cast will be replaced in the Dcu as it adopts a new aesthetic and ethos. Arguably, none of these recasts pack as...

Nicole Kidman is one of the most recognizable actors in Hollywood today, and she has acted in numerous genres throughout her decades-long career, leading to her most recent success with the erotic thriller Babygirl. Kidman's breakout role was in the 1989 ocean thriller Dead Calm, and she gained even more attention for her roles in movies throughout the 1990s. Kidman has even starred in erotic thrillers before, such as Eyes Wide Shut, proving that she was a perfect casting choice for Babygirl, and Babygirl's positive reviews confirm this.
However, while some of Nicole Kidman's movies have fared very well with audiences and critics, garnering numerous award nominations and wins, some of her other movies have not been so successful. In fact, the recent success of Babygirl has helped Kidman break a negative Rotten Tomatoes streak from 2023 and 2024, which was the worst she had seen in over 10 years. Luckily, Babygirl is able...

Interestingly, on the same day as The Batman Part II’s delay into 2027, Andy Muschietti gave us the first actual update on The Brave and the Bold since it was announced that he was directing it. On the California Secreta Podcast, Muschietti had the following to say:
"The Batman [The Brave and The Bold] project has been postponed a little bit so I might do another film before that."
What an odd coincidence that, on the same day The Batman Part II is delayed, Andy Muschietti essentially confirms that The Brave and the Bold has also been delayed. The latter had no official release...

Babygirl has received a divisive Rotten Tomatoes audience score, setting a shocking record for Nicole Kidman. The erotic thriller, directed and written by Halina Reijn (Bodies Bodies Bodies), delves into the life of Romy, a powerful tech CEO in New York who embarks on a dangerous and impassioned affair with her younger intern, Samuel (Harris Dickinson). The Babygirl cast also features Antonio Banderas and Sophie Wilde, who join Kidman in a story exploring Romy's sexual repression and journey to self-acceptance.
Babygirl has a 55% Rotten Tomatoes audience score, making it part of an unexpected trend of audience misfires for Kidman this year. Despite Kidman's compelling performance, which helped the erotic film achieve a 77% Rotten Tomatoes score among critics, the audience response to her recent films, including Netflix's Spellbound and the rom-com A Family Affair, reveals a surprising disconnect for an actor known for her command of acclaimed and award-winning roles.

The early 2010s were an interesting time for the DC universe on screen. It was largely a period of transition. Warner Bros. experienced incredible success with Christopher Nolan's $1 billion smash Oscar-winning hit "The Dark Knight," while other projects were coming together behind the scenes. On the other side of the street, Marvel was putting together a full shared universe of films that would culminate in 2012's "The Avengers." Comic book crossovers were becoming all the rage. DC explored a pretty major crossover as Superman was, at one point, going to appear in 2011's "Green Lantern."
For those who may need a refresher, the film starred Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan long before he turned "Deadpool" into a smash R-rated hit. Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale") was in the director's chair. "Green Lantern" earned just $220 million at the global box office against a huge $200 million budget,...

There is quite a bit of information available about Ccxp 2024, including when the event runs, where it takes place, which tickets are still available, and what guests and panels are announced. Although it is a relatively new convention, Ccxp (formerly known as Comic Con Experience) has one of the most vibrant fan conventions worldwide. The event, which is a collaboration between the web site Omelete, comic company Chiaroscuro Studios, and toy company Piziitoys, typically takes place in São Paulo, Brazil, though it has also been held in Germany and Mexico.
Since its inception in 2014, an event that featured special guests such as Lord of the Rings star Sean Astin and Aquaman star Jason Momoa, Ccxp has grown to become the biggest pop culture festival in the world. While the original event had roughly 100,000 attendees, it has ballooned to reach 280,000. In the process, it has attracted major talent from across the globe,...

Right now we're in the long night between new seasons of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. The show's second season wrapped up this past summer with a finale that set the stage for several big events in the Targaryen civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, with a Triarchy fleet setting sail for the Gullet to break Corlys Velaryon's blockade on King's Landing and armies on the move in the Riverlands and the Reach. When House of the Dragon returns for season 3, it'll kick off in spectacular fashion.
It will also include at least one familiar face who sat out season 2: Ser Harrold Westerling, the former Lord Commander of the Kingsguard played by Outlander star Graham McTavish. In George R.R. Martin's book Fire & Blood, Westerling dies before the Dance of the Dragons kicks off, but House of the Dragon opted to...

A new trailer and poster have been released (via GameFragger.com) for Warner Bros.' A Minecraft Movie and we're getting serious Jumanji vibes from this long-awaited big screen take on the hit video game franchise.
It's not just because Jack Black is leading the cast either; in this latest sneak peek, we watch as his character, Steve, discovers a means to travel into the world of Minecraft where he can create anything...provided it's block-shaped, of course.
He soon finds some new friends to tackle the dark forces intent on destroying that reality, and there are heaps of Easter Eggs and deep-cut references for those of you who know what to look out for.
Given what a huge fanbase Minecraft has, there's a good chance this will be a hit next year. However, a quick look on social media suggests gamers are divided when it comes to the direction...

1982s Swamp Thing beats 8 Dceu films in one surprising way. It has been over 40 years since Swamp Thing was released, and while its nowhere near one of DCs highest-rated films, it still does enough to beat out several recent releases. The Dceu has had a rocky timeline in recent years with a lot of projects receiving reviews that range from mixed to negative. This slump is likely why the studio has opted to reboot the Dceu, turning it into the Dcu with characters being recast.
Though James Gunn and Peter Safrans impending revamp of the DC Universe hopes to turn things around, DC will have to sit with the legacy of their recent films for now. There have been some excellent DC Studios releases such as Joker and The Batman. However, the actual Dceu has been struggling. Swamp Thing may be an 80s project that not many current fans have seen,...

Venom: The Last Dance Box Office (China): Beats Avatar’s 2021 Re-Release Numbers (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Venom: The Last Dance seems to have found its place, and it is in China. People are enjoying the comic book action movie at the theatres as it continues to dominate at #1. It has beaten James Cameron’s helmed Avatar’s 2021 re-release collection and is on its way to surpassing Despicable Me 4, Deadpool & Wolverine, Oppenheimer and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Scroll below for the deets.
The industry thought it would suffer the same fate as Joker: Folie a Deux, but it seems China might save its a*s. Although it might not experience the same success as its predecessors, it may not be a big failure like the Joker 2. It is potentially the last film in the Venom franchise; however, like every other Marvel movie, it too had end-credit scenes,...

Every trend comes and goes. And it feels like, here in the '20s, cinema is on the waning edge of several of them. The uncontrolled bloat of major studios' streaming services came to a halt with last year's writers and actors' strikes, causing many of said services to curtail their spending habits. Major entertainment franchises ("Star Wars") made big cinematic plans, only to cancel them after several high-profile failures, inspiring a pivot to TV that's only proven sporadically successful.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an especially interesting case, having managed to crank out a few notable hits since the release of "Avengers: Endgame" in 2019. Still, the franchise has, in the last five years, begun to increasingly lose money due to films under-performing at the box office, troubled productions leading to a massive ballooning of budgets ("Secret Invasion" cost how much??), and a waning interest in its overwhelming glut of content.

The film’s domestic opening isn’t looking so good, but the overseas numbers can give it the much-needed boost. It held its #1 position at the Korean box office. It is the second comic book movie to release this month after Joker: Folie a Deux, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, but we all know how that is going. With the recent (extremely disappointing) release of "Joker: Folie a Deux," there is nothing standing between the old DC and the new DC Universe, which kicks off later this year when the animated "Creature Commandos" arrives on Max. Then DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran's plans kick into high gear next summer when Gunn's new "Superman" movie hits theaters. What are those plans, exactly? An ever-growing list of movies and TV shows has already been confirmed, and put simply, the DC Universe is getting a reboot. Unfortunately, there is still some confusion for the time being.
The easiest thing would be for Warner Bros. and DC Studios to say "we're starting over completely fresh. Nothing from the former Dceu counts, but everything going forward does." Unfortunately, it's not so simple. Certain projects that were in the works before are going to be ushered in as part of the future.

No matter how you feel about Rotten Tomatoes, it's now more important than ever when it comes to whether moviegoers decide to check out the latest releases in theaters, and it's not uncommon for studios to tout scores as proudly as they do star ratings.
In the case of the DC Extended Universe, the franchise has never had a particularly easy time of it with critics. These movies were overshadowed by the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the start; attempts to be totally different failed and later releases which borrowed heavily from the McU's tone drew a mixed response.
The Dceu started with 2013's Man of Steel and, technically, ended this month with Joker: Folie à Deux. Like The Batman and Joker, that wasn't set in the Dceu itself but it was released pre-DC Studios and under the Warner Bros. umbrella.

It’s not every day that the same director manages to deliver both one of the highest-grossing “R” rated superhero movies, and one of the worst superhero movies ever made in general.
But it happened to Todd Phillips with his ‘Joker’ franchise. The first movie was an unexpected hit, and the second is a flop the likes of which we haven’t seen in a long time.
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ premiered this Friday worldwide, and to say that the movie has been abysmally received is an understatement. Both fans and critics agree that it’s a bad movie as it’s Rotten Tomatoes keeps going down as the hours pass by and reviews are added.
The movie currently stands at 33% when it comes to critics and 34% when it comes to the approval rate by the audiences. The movie also received a “D” CineScore from the audience, the lowest of any superhero movie in history.

The latest crack at Stephen King’s acclaimed vampire novel managed to pull together a cast of recognizable faces despite being pulled from a theatrical release to go directly to Max. “Salem’s Lot” follows a writer’s return to his hometown, searching for inspiration for his next book, only to find out the place is slowly being overrun by vampires.

Five years ago, Warner Bros. and Todd Phillips’ “Joker” pulled off a series of firsts, including the first comic book film to win the Golden Lion and the Best Actor Oscar, as well as the first R-rated film to gross $1 billion at the global box office.
“Joker: Folie à Deux” will not reach that $1 billion mark, but there’s still a chance that the follow-up can be a hit film for Warner — if fans of the original embrace the musical numbers that take place inside Arthur Fleck’s fractured mind. Warner Bros. is projecting an opening weekend in the $50 million range, which would put it in the neighborhood of the $55 million opening earned by last year’s big DC flop “The Flash.”
Like the first film, reviews for “Folie à Deux” are mixed, currently standing at 56% on Rotten Tomatoes. Back in 2019, those reviews meant little to audiences, who were floored...

Even when superhero cinema was at its absolute peak in 2018 and 2019, it was downright shocking when Todd Phillips' "Joker" made more than $1 billion at the global box office. It was the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever up to that point and remained so until "Deadpool & Wolverine" stole the record earlier this year. While the pandemic and last year's Hollywood strikes got in the way, Joaquin Phoenix is finally back as the famed DC Comics villain in "Joker: Folie a Deux." This time, Lady Gaga is on board to add more star power as Harley Quinn. It's too early to say anything overly definitive but it's all but assured that the sequel won't fly as high as its predecessor. So the question becomes, how steep will the drop-off be?
Warner Bros. and DC's "Joker 2" is looking at an opening weekend north of $70 million, per early tracking numbers via The Hollywood Reporter.

Jason Momoa has quite a reputation in Hollywood as a sweetheart. Although his role as Aquaman does not reflect this sentiment, his recent casting in the Minecraft live-action film and adorably psychotic character in Fast X showcase just how precious he can be. From his interviews and fan interactions, he has formed a beloved sort of image for himself, being overtly masculine but extremely kind-hearted and thoughtful.

Nicole Kidman has a peculiar reason why she decided to star in Joel Schumacher’s 1995 film, Batman Forever.
In a L’Officiel profile, Kidman looked back at her first DC Comics Universe cinematic role, admitting that many were baffled by an actress of her caliber taking on the role of Dr. Chase Meridian, Batman’s love interest, that was created solely for the film.
“Everyone’s like, ’Why are you doing that?’ I’m like, ‘Because I get to kiss Batman!’” she said. Kidman defended her decision further, noting, “The thing people don’t understand is, it’s not about the check. A lot of mainstream big blockbusters that I do are hopefully different.”

Miller made their debut as The Flash with a cameo in Batman v Superman and appeared in several more films, including their own standalone movie, The Flash, which served as the Dceu’s “reboot” through the Flashpoint storyline.
The movie faced widespread boycotts from both fans and non-fans, largely due to Ezra Miller’s legal troubles. The actor had been involved in a series of incidents, including disorderly conduct, a choking incident, harassment allegations, burglary charges, and various other issues in Hawaii and Vermont. However, the most damaging accusation was the grooming charges against Miller.
In June 2022, the Standing Rock Sioux tribal court issued a temporary protection order against Miller at the request of the parents of 18-year-old activist Tokata Iron Eyes.

Depending on who you ask, Dceu was highly controversial without even adding actors’ personal dramas to the list and one of the biggest issues toward the end of the cinematic universe was Ezra Miller.
Miller debuted as Flash in the Dceu with a ‘Batman v Superman’ cameo, and appeared in several subsequent movies including their own standalone movie, ‘The Flash,’ that marked the “reboot” of the Dceu through Flashpoint.
The movie was heavily boycotted by the fans and non-fans alike mostly due to Miller’s legal troubles. The actor was facing issues due to disorderly conduct, a choking incident, harassment allegations, burglary charges, and several additional incidents that took place in Hawaii and Vermont. However, nothing can absolutely annihilate your career as grooming charges, and that’s exactly what Miller has faced.

One of the most anticipated movies of the fall season is nearly upon us as "Joker: Folie a Deux" is just around the corner. Director Todd Phillis is back with a sequel to 2019's blockbuster hit "Joker." Joaquin Phoenix is also back as Arthur Fleck, aka Joker, after winning an Oscar for his work as the DC Comics villain in the first film. The follow-up, which is going to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in early September, is far bigger than its predecessor, meaning it's far more expensive. That's something that has generated much discussion, and it's a discussion that Phillips doesn't quite seem to understand.
The filmmaker was the subject of a recent profile by Variety in honor of the forthcoming premiere of "Folie a Deux." It was reported back in February that the "Joker" sequel has a massive $200 million budget -- as opposed to the first film,...

As much effort as Warner Bros. and DC Studios put into the DC Extended Universe, it's always been ... well, a bit of a roller coaster ride. There are clear triumphs, of course, which remind viewers exactly why they fell in love with these comic book superheroes in the first place. But we can't lie. It's not always pretty. And there are more than a few trainwrecks along the way. It's undeniable that the Dceu varies dramatically in quality from film to film, even if fans can't quite agree on which ones are the gems and which are the disasters.
That's where Rotten Tomatoes comes into the picture. Imperfect as it may be, it offers up at least some kind of critical consensus for how we can rank these bad boys. Are each of the positions fair? Probably not, but life isn't fair. Maybe some of these movies should be held...

There are classic films, then there are all-time classics that are damn near untouchable. Such is the case with Universal's "Creature from the Black Lagoon." First released in 1954, director Jack Arnold's heralded creature feature is among the most acclaimed of the Universal Monsters classics, right up there with "Bride of Frankenstein." While the film is close to untouchable, a modern horror master is going to take a crack at it anyway.
We recently learned that James Wan is developing a "Creature from the Black Lagoon" remake that he intends to direct. This would be his return to horror following the release of last year's "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom." More than that, one could argue it's the most bold creative risk Wan has taken in his wildly successful career. It's hard to picture anyone better suited to the job than Wan. In so many ways, he feels like...
