This documentary is well shot, well edited, and has interesting insights into the life of Vaizgantas, and is one of the better Lithuanian films I have seen. There are also additional scenes showing certain events from Vaizgantas' life, and the actor portraying him does a good job, really showing you the personality of this historical figure.
The main problems with this film stem from the occasional dip in engagement during walk-and-talk scenes about the author, though this is par for the course for many documentaries. My only other major complaint is that the actors for certain side characters are rather stiff, however this is not prevalent in the film and won't bring down your viewing experience.
