I watched this thinking it's highly rated but I was wrong.
No reason, no plot twists and full of plots holes.
This movie was good on concept but bad at execution. A movie to watch when you got nothing better to watch.

I had to stop after the first 15 mins ..... Fabien Dufils' depiction of Sarah (Michelle Girolami.) didn't grip me in anyway ... we are dropped in at the deep-end in a totally unbelievable scenario. Ha Fabien gone with a B movie format it would have been a least funny.
What is this rubbish.
Boring , nonsense story about a vagrant walking around NY listening to a microchip with an annoying voice.
Nil happens throughout the whole film.

It was that bad. I suffered through it, to see if it would improve or if the ending was worth it, but it was not. Clearly, all the cast and crew are voting for it.

I watch it till end but it was a hopeless case. I can assure that all these high reviews are extremely biased. Don't waste your time.
Well im 30 mins into it and its very very slow and boring so far, How the hell this has got above 5 star ratings i will never know.
I susspect most good reviews are from people who made the film and relations to them people.
Stay away as its bloody rubbish..

Nice movie, I liked the almost present day timeline, in which we can relate. Even tho this punishing AI can be sometimes difficult to believe in, we can see where the inspiration takes place in todays technology. Not being too much alarming, maybe the message is to be careful with tech, and take care of your relatives...
I had a good time watching this movie, very entertaining. I particularly love the photography, color grading is beautiful, and the global art direction of this glitchy visual universe.

Load of rubbish.
Don't bother, because if you do not turn it off after the first 15 minutes, you WILL fall asleep because of it.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
You are better off spending the same amount of time, watching UPGRADE again.

Congratulations to the team !
The movie shows us what the future might be for us
Stephen Hawking say it, IA could be a danger for humanity
The movie is both sci-fi and thriller style, with an amazing Michelle Girolami
The photography and the production are very impressive for an independant movie.

Am finding the overly positive reviews here very misleading....and wrong.
This isn't an original theme, but is handled in a so-so manner, I'm not saying I could do better with the budget, but there are other movies that carry the theme better. Take Upgrade for example, that covers the AI to human takeover in a far more dramatic fashion and is well executed.
Implanted is rather pedestrian in its storytelling and I think it could have been made with half of the 01:35:00 runtime. I presume budget constraints were the reason as to why this has such a slow pace.
I'm not going to slate this movie, because it unfolded the tale to a fairly obvious conclusion, so would have gotten a higher score if the ending went the way I wanted it to, but should be rather obvious once you see it for yourself.
The lead carried her role well and her supporting cast did the best they could, given the scripting.
Implanted will not blow you away and does portray our fears of wearable AI's in a half decent way, it just needed faster pacing and tighter scripting to keep the audience engaged.
If you have an hour and half and want a slow story to keep you mildly entertained, this is it, but look elsewhere if you want high octane thrills - in other words it's watchable and I have seen far, far worse than this. We only need to look at some of Bruce Willis' latest movies to demonstrate that point.
After watching this, I really want to revisit Upgrade now!!

Most boring movie ever. No story, no concept. Dumb acting. They try to copy superb movie Upgrade, but they need some more IQ to do this :D.
Fm 2020 to 2022 there are a host of truly boring terrible horrible movies. This is one of them. And the acting...painstaking to watch. I eventually resorted to fast forwarding. The ending made me happy.

The movie has an ok concept, tho it's been done much better before.
An AI implant controls a human being...and then more and more human beings.
The top reviews here have to be from cast and crew...no other explanation.
I wish I could say more in its favor...as the lead actress wasn't bad,,,but it was simply and majorly a bore fest.

The agonizing suffering of the protagonist victim is shared by the viewing audience sitting through constant long takes of her melodramatic portrayal of extreme distress of mind and body. She does a decent job but its way too dragged out and the pacing is tortuously trying. The run time could've been cut in half. The plotline is not new, pretty much the same as 'Echelon Conspiracy' and 'Eagle Eye', etc. - may've even used the same voice for the female AI. Interesting display of the words on a computer news screen collage referencing the plot connection to the plandemic. Features brutal murder including stabbing and close range gunshots to the head.
A film about A. I. taking control of humans.
The A. I. in this film mainly uses punishment to force humans to comply. The real A. I. all around us today uses the far more effective reward/punishment combo to get us to voluntarily join and obey its desires.
Google, Twitter, Tik-Tok, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Roblox, et.al. Are all followers of this A. I. strategy. All use A. I. to get us to do as they wish by entertaining us at the same time. Disobey their opaque, ever changing rules and punishment swiftly follows.
The most effective brain-worms would infiltrate these companies and use them (and their A. I.) to push the brain-worm agenda while canceling users that aren't brain-wormy enough.
Not that any of these companies are packed with foreign agents...

I found this little indie film to be quite interesting and a very decent attempt to do a story that has been done numerous times a little differently. I think they did a good job at exploring the idea better than some others movies out there as well.
It is not a face paced action junkie flashing light CGI mess that so many people have been programmed to like in the SciFi genre. Instead we take a plausible idea and expand on it slowly at first so the viewer can get to know the lead character, which is a nice change.
The lead does a terrific job at the role and rarely has anyone else to interact with and when she does it is only briefly. All in all I think it is a fairly decent little production.

A conversation that i keep having with friends, the future of invasive AI technology is scary, is not all going to be good and positive, something that has total control and that keeps learning new things on its own, won't always do good.
On that note, i thought the acting was good, she carried the movie well on her own, it is kinda slow, even though a bit of speed could've added to the time crunch in her mission.
The gritty look and feel of the film was great!
Very slow paced, by what seemed be the end, it felt like "too long and a half", i kept wanting to check the time, (that trip to Paris could've been cut in half), because it was an expected ending.
Also, at the beginning she says "i'm an optimist", well, she looks like everything but an optimist.

Given the current fears this movie is very brave. It tells the tale of a technology that could threaten our future as a species. It is a warning to the dangers of nanotechnology in medical procedures.
I enjoyed the style of this production, it has plenty of atmosphere. There is some excellent cinematography and the acting is good.
An interesting tale well told.

This movie was a complete disaster from start to finish. The plot was ridiculous and unbelievable, making it impossible to stay engaged. The main actress was terrible-her performance was so bad it was almost comical, especially during her bizarre seizure-like moments. Her character was a weak fool with no real development. The so-called implant was pointless and added nothing to the story. I'd rather have someone fart directly in my ear than sit through this disaster again. Avoid this mess at all costs; it's an insult to cinema. The writing was lazy, the dialogue was cringe-worthy, and the pacing dragged on forever. If you enjoy torturing yourself, then by all means, watch it-but don't say I didn't warn you.

Sarah (Michelle Girolami) gets implanted with an AI chip. The AI program starts torturing and demanding her to perform certain tasks. It quickly escalates into illegal activities.
This is a very small indie with Michelle Girolami doing most of the heavy lifting. To be fair, she does a fine job. I don't know anything about the actress. Basically, she's acting against air. As for the writing, the movie needs to introduce more of her story first. At the beginning, I don't know anything about her. I don't even know if she paid for the chip or if it's an experiment. The movie doesn't set up well enough. Most of this is rather repetitive and the story is simply not turning. It's torturing and she's forced to do something over and over again.

I actually thought this was a well-done movie. Although this topic is covered in other films of this genre, being set in current times made this more interesting to me.
While I wouldn't exactly call it dystopian, it certainly rides the fringe.
I also thought Michelle Girolami played the part perfectly. She was sincere, her tears were on cue and convincing, and I think she carried the rest of the cast.
No movie is perfect, but some folks set out to flag every little nuance that bothers them.
I watch movies with an open mind because I want to enjoy them, and I enjoyed this one. I'd recommend!
