Most actors featured in the series went through a series of training sessions for Hindustani Classical Music and learned the basics of a few instruments played by them in the show.
Or, An average of 8 musical IDs per episode were written, composed and sung by singers prior to the principal photography. This meant the actors had to go through vigorous preparations to get the correct lip movement, hand gestures and body language for all sargams and aakars during the day of production.
Director Anand Tiwari revealed that right from the inception of this story, the character of Panditji was written keeping veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in mind.
An extensive 45 day production was set up for mid January 2019 in the desert state, Rajasthan for the series. However due to production delays the schedule was further pushed to April which had the entire cast and crew filming on locations with an average temperature of 45° C.
Bandish Bandits is the debut web series for Shankar-Ehsan-Loy as music composers.
