The hodge-podge nature of this series is a drawback in Volume 111, as Girlfriends veteran Lena Nicole plays two distinctly different roles, more distraction than helpful.
For the first half of the DVD she is a schemer in a poorly conceived role. For the umpteenth time, we have a couple of ladies posing as sisters but in fact lovers. It's Lena and Syren De Mer, whose lack of any physical resemblance is more than a clue to their deception.
They run a boarding house inherited from their grandmother that resembles the house used for the old "Pin-Up Girls" period piece series.
Two new tenants show up: young Hayden Hawkens as a college student and Tanya Tate as an anthropology professor moving to Thornhill.
Hayden hears sounds of sex coming from the sisters' room and concludes there's incest afoot. When she confronts Lena, Nicole denies it and states that it must have been newbie Tanya humping Syren.
In a very familiar Girlfriends scene, Syren and Tanya try on gowns belonging to grandma. (I wish a flashback had been inserted here, with Erica Lauren cast as grandma, but no such luck.)
Syren easily seduces Tanya, and the resulting scene is not credible, as Tanya plays it ultra-wimpy, hardly in keeping with the Tanya Tate we know and love.
Now that it's a fait accompli, Lena needs revenge, so of course she seduces Hayden. Much ado about nothing.
The third segment of the DVD has Lena returning as a new character, poor programming as it's a scene that would have played better elsewhere. She's part of a 6-girl vignette, four of whom are NonSex, uncredited performers whose presence merely teases the audience.
It's Aidra Fox's birthday and after much yapping by the six women, we're left with just Aidra and her pal Lena. Lena is licking a lollipop and seduces Aidra. This Lena has nothing to do with the Lena she played in the first half of the show.
Shyla Jennings is the dominant talker of the four other ladies (Sovereign Syre, Vanessa Veracruz and Carter Cruise), spreading tons of malicious gossip reflecting upon previous Thornhill video characters and events, e.g., accusing Aidra of incest with her stepmother, gossip about Road Queen Deauxma having sex with Jenna Sativa as well as Deauxma having sex with Randy Moore, who happens to be Syre's girlfriend.
All this idle talk drives everyone away, leading to the Lena & her lollipop climax.
Final vignette is something completely different, a la Monty Python structuring. Prinzzess visits Totally Tabitha's house and seduces her, in an improvised scene where Tabitha seems unsure about what's going on.
It's a sexy scene, with Tabitha styled butch and P doing her usual thing, but comes close to being merely all-sex filler.
