"One of twelve westerns made in 12 months" is the worst marketing idea for a movie I've heard but, more practically, maybe if they made one really good one instead... I thought the production quality was ok, the acting was the main problem (with the exception of the sheriff from the other town). I think the director could have gotten better from the talent if they had practiced more.

Poor filming, ugly people, unprofessional acting. All bad things happen in this movie. Watch it u will admire other movies you ever watched.
This is by far the worst attempt at making a western movie I have ever seen.
I have a hard time believing that any of the actors have acted before in their lives. The script is absent so they really have very little to work with. It seems like the producers just put in an ad on craigslist looking for people who would like to be in the movie, no experience required. But the worst thing about this horrible waste of time is the music. Being a fan of Ennio Morricone it is nothing but sad to hear how Robert Sizemore blatantly steals themes from Morricone, makes minuscule changes and signs his name under it. There is no doubt in my mind that the 10/10 reviews are written by someone involved in trying to make money off this pile of crap. I recommend watching the first 5 minutes of the movie as a reference to just how wrong it can go, how bad a movie can be.
A Guide to Gunfighters of the Wild West is to the western genre what The Room is to drama.

After reading bad reviews, thought I'd quickly skim through it before watching it all. No matter what scene you stop at, it is very apparent the script is bad, the acting is bad and the filming is poor.

Many humorous moments in this one!
Tate can't even walk down the street without being challenged.
Operatic horseback riding?
A wonderful twist at the end serves to get Tate and Katy out of this mess!

This is a great movie with a mix of laughs and a love story all rolled into one. This guy ends up getting himself into gunfights that he never expected. A great cast! The soundtrack was fantastic!
I heard the writer of this film call it a romantic comedy western and I wholeheartedly agree. It has all the clever funny lines, lovable characters, and silly moments of a rom com while mixing in the gun fights, horses, and other elements of the wild west.
There were a lot of wonderful things about this film from the costumes, lines, and sets, but the two greatest parts were the story and characters.
I would be surprised if you watch this one and do not walk away With a list of new characters you will forever treasure. Our main couple is so likable and down to earth that I was rooting my heart out for them. Lucy was so well fleshed out with her husband that I could have watched an entire film about her. From Katie's dad to each gunfighter who came to fight our main man, to Wilson and the church people, every character was truly memorable. I honestly can't wait to revisit them again!
The story is so fun to ride along with. It's easygoing, funny, sweet, even almost poignant at times. Honestly, if you are looking for a new favorite hidden gem to add to your list, this is the one!

True independent film that mixes genre. Entertaining and a throw back to the westerns of the 1950's. Well developed characters that change over time. Satisfying story closure by the end.
