The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1910)

Trivia

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Edit
Many of the costumes and much of the make-up in this film resemble those used in the 1902 Broadway musical "The Wizard of Oz". None of the songs in this show, however, were used in The Wizard of Oz (1939).
The end credits to this oldest surviving 13-minute adaptation of the "Wizard of Oz" stories are missing. Therefore, there is no official verification of cast members. Best guesses for who played who are based on "Oz" trivia and film historians, which may or may not be accurate.
One of the films in the 3-disk boxed DVD set called "More Treasures from American Film Archives (2004)", compiled by the National Film Preservation Foundation from 5 American film archives. This film is preserved by George Eastman House, has a running time of 13 minutes and an added piano score.
The character of Imogene the cow is borrowed directly from the 1902 stage musical based on the book. She does not appear in the original book. In the stage version, she was used as a replacement for Toto the dog.
Debut of actresses Lillian Leighton, Eugenie Besserer and Winifred Greenwood.
