To the audience this morning, this picture proved an unintentional comedy; they laughed and shouted mock comments at its sentimental scenes. Such an audience will stand for coarseness it seems, but is death on sentimentality. That the second part of this is true is most encouraging; folks who know life hate sentimentality. We have seen many worse pictures than this applauded. It has been written to get all there was in the situation and it was pretty well acted by the best Biograph players.
