Maluma is returning to his career-defining Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy era and elevating it. On Friday, the Colombian superstar released the single “Cosas Pendientes,” the first track of his upcoming album, +Pretty +Dirty, which builds on his iconic 2015 record.

“This is just the start,” Maluma said. “2025 is ours!!”

The track, co-written with Edgar Barrera, Keityn, and Casta, opens with the strum of a guitar, before Maluma’s voice joins as he sings about seeing an ex perreando with another guy at the club.

Birkin’s death has shocked her adopted France over the long Bastille Day weekend.

Anglo-French actress, director and singer Jane Birkin has died at the age of 76.

Born and brought up in the UK, Birkin rose to fame in France in the 1960s with a parallel acting and singing career and became a global fashion icon and a woman’s rights activist. France claimed the naturalised citizen as their own.

Emmy-nominated actress Katherine Helmond, best known for her role on “Who’s the Boss?,” died on Feb. 23 at her Los Angeles home due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. She was 89.

The star, whose career spanned more than five decades, played matriarch Jessica Tate on Billy Crystal’s primetime soap sitcom, aptly titled “Soap,” which ran from 1977 to 1981. She nabbed four actress Emmy nominations for the role. Helmond portrayed another famous mom, saucy Mona Robinson, in another ABC hit series, “Who’s the Boss?” (1984–1992). The role landed her two supporting actress Emmy noms.

Helmond also had a recurring roles as Doris Sherman on ABC’s “Coach” (1995-1997), opposite Craig T. Nelson and Jerry Van Dyke, and as Debra Barone’s mother Lois Whelan, alongside Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton, on CBS’ massive hit “Everybody Loves Raymond” (1996-2004).

★★☆☆☆ A little likeability goes a long way in Hollywood, but all the goodwill in the world can't quite save Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut Don Jon (2013). Ostensibly a loose retelling of the legend of the infamous fictional libertine Don Juan, Don Jon ends up more Jersey Shore than Lord Byron. It's far too frantic for its own good and the sense of self-satisfaction is evident throughout; there's a lot of flash and bang for a picture that's essentially the story of a chronic onanist who learns to love a real woman. Gordon-Levitt's eagerness to impress is laudable, but he mistakes explicitness for edginess in this oafish, testosterone-driven bore.

In the history of cinema, many children have followed their mothers or fathers into the film business, but few offspring pursued the path of a parent more slavishly than Harry Redmond Jr, who has died aged 101. Like a master craftsman, Harry Redmond Sr passed on the skills of his trade to his son, the trade being the creation of special effects for films. Most notably, they worked together on King Kong (1933), in which a giant gorilla captures an actor, Ann Darrow, played by the "scream queen" Fay Wray.

Warner Archive has just released three classic silent (or part-silent) films. The Merry Widow (1925), Don Juan (1926) and Noah's Ark (1929). These three films are among the best-remembered hits of the late silent, early sound era. First, let's start with The Merry Widow (1925, MGM). This film stars Mae Murray and John Gilbert and was directed by Erich von Stroheim. Much has been documented about von Stroheim's excesses as a director. This was his first film after the infamous debacle known as Greed. Hollywood legend has it that while going through the daily rushes of this film with MGM chief Irving Thalberg, von Stroheim showed a single 10-minute take of one the character's shoe closet. When Thalberg questioned the 10 minute shot of shoes, von Stroheim said, "This is to establish that the character has a foot fetish." Thalberg supposedly replied, "And you have a footage fetish!"
