When Philip (Stan Laurel) set down the kilt for the young lady to cross the street, the checkered shorts he was wearing were longer than the ones he started out with.
A struggle at the tailors in trying to get Stan's inside leg measurement leaves him with his jacket and bow tie undone and his bonnet askew bur when he goes into the changing room his jacket and bow tie are fastened and his bonnet is straight.
Stan sneezes and looses his pants then later takes off his kilt and spreads it over a puddle for a lady to cross without getting wet and he's got them on again.
Uncle (Ollie) runs from the bus with pants in his left hand and hat in the right. As he approaches the throng for Philip, he places the hat atop his head but the pants have disappeared. They are not seen again.
Stan steps off a ship carrying a bag which he leans on as he sits and talks to his uncle (Ollie) . It then disappears and is never seen again.
A title card describes Philip as Scotch instead of Scots. Scotch describes a product from Scotland, like a Scotch Pie, whilst a Scot is a person who pays taxes in Scotland.
