Star Reginald Denny took over direction of the picture after having original director Fred C. Newmeyer removed because of "creative differences".
A Jewel Production. Universal lacked a proprietary theater chain and devised a 3-tiered branding system for its releases: Red Feather (low-budget programmers), Bluebird (mainstream releases) and Jewel (prestige pictures targeted to command higher roadshow ticket prices). This was among the last handful of silent Jewel Productions. This branding system would end in late 1929.
