Of Alice Faye's 35 film appearances between 1934-78, this was the first of two not given a contemporary New York Times review. The second picture was Every Girl Should Have One (1978).
This was the last American screen appearance of Bebe Daniels, who, in 1910, began playing child parts at the age of nine. Post-Hollywood, she would act in just five English films released from 1936-55. In all of these features but one--The Return of Carol Deane (1938)--she co-starred with her husband and partner on British records, radio and television, Ben Lyon.
Bebe Daniels was only 34 here when she played an aging actress with an adult daughter. In real life, she had already been in more than 225 films since 1910.
Final film of Marbeth Wright.
