First cartoon to feature all five of Disney's biggest cartoon stars: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto. Two more stars, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow, also make a brief appearance.

"On Ice" from 1935 is the fourth and last Cartoon of 1935 to feature Mickey with yellow gloves.
The joke involving Pluto on ice skates in "On Ice" from 1935 helped serve as the inspiration for the scene in "Bambi" from 1942 where Thumper shows Bambi how to skate, as revealed in the reenactments of the Bambi story meetings on the Diamond Edition.
"On Ice" from 1935 is the second color appearance of Minnie Mouse, her first color appearance was in the special color film "Parade of the Award Nominees" for the 1932 Academy Awards.
