Rosita Díaz Gimeno was married to the son of the Republican President Juan Negrín. As the picture was shot when the Spanish civil war had just started (1936) and was not premiered until 3 years after when Franco was ruling, her name as a republican actress was plainly censored from the credits, even though she was the leading lady! Compare novelized film cover to official heralds images as a proof. The same happened with her fellow republican supporting actors in the cast.
Juan Calvo and son Armando Calvo, who would soon become a leading man, worked together in this picture. It was Armando's first role, he was 16 years according to his birth date -as this picture was begun in 1936, then the Spanish Civil war broke out and its release postponed and some of the cast censored. Armando's brother Manolo (Manuel Calvo) also became an actor, and they sometimes worked together and/or with their father Juan, a noted Spanish supporting actor.
