Sound engineers reported that Kiepura had the strongest voice, and greatest range of any singer that ever face the microphone. "His full voice is beyond the range of the most modern recording equipment and usually it is necessary for KIepura to use his 'mezzovoce' , of half voice when doing his screen songs" (Madeira Tribune, 4 December 1935)
One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. Its earliest documented telecast took place in Boston Sunday 26 October 1958 on WBZ (Channel 4); it first aired in Omaha Friday 3 April 1959 on KETV (Channel 7).
