Sets and costumes left over from Kismet (1930) were used in the Arabian Nights style dream sequence of this film.
As an inside joke, an enormous pansy is prominently displayed on Jojo's (Joe E. Brown's) underwear.
The film's world premiere showing was at the Stanley theatre, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, on 5 February 1931.
