The handwriting machine in Judson's office at the bank is a telautograph machine. Later known as a telewriter, it was invented in 1888 by Elisha Gray, the man who lost the telephone patent to Alexander Graham Bell.
A print of this film survives in the UCLA Film and Television archives.
First film in an eight picture deal with producer J.G. Bachmann and King Motion Pictures for distribution through RKO, but only three films were actually made - the other two being Man Hunt (1933) and Goldie Gets Along (1933).
The $960,000 Judson embezzled would equate to nearly $17M in 2018.
First film for petite character actress Nydia Westman. She would go on to be best known for playing spunky little old ladies, guest-starring on many popular television series in the 1950s and especially in the 1960s.
