Tex Ritter and Slim Andrews have occasion to be Riding The ?Cherokee Trail when as Texas Rangers they go into the Cherokee Strip looking to lure outlaw Forrest Taylor out from where the law can't touch him. he Taylor discovers their identities the whole plan nearly blows up.

Among other things Taylor is a classic music lover. There's one great scene in the movie where Taylor plays some classical selection and Ritter responds with a cowboy ballad adapted from same.

In fact Tex has a lot of songs to sing backed by the Tennessee Ramblers. For fans of Tex the singer and Tex the cowboy.
