    Some Laughs

All Work and No Play (1942)

    ** (out of 4)

Columbia short with Andy Clyde working as a security guard but a priceless diamond gets stolen so he chases the crooks onto a boat, which just happens to have a crazy gorilla on board. For the life of me I'll never understand why older films always featured a gorilla as a scare tactic. Most of the old dark house films featured them and many comedies did as well. This film here is pretty dull until the gorilla shows up so I've gotta give the man in the costume all the credit.

As of now this short isn't available officially.
