The film (shot in Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome) is a co-production between Germany and Italy. While the cast is exclusively German, the crew is essentially Italian.
In the Italian-dubbed version Johannes Riemann is dubbed by Giulio Panicali. Carola Höhn is dubbed by Lydia Simoneschi, Else von Möllendorff is dubbed by Rosetta Calavetta, Lucie Englisch is dubbed by Renata Marini, Grethe Weiser is dubbed by Tina Lattanzi, Theodor Danegger is dubbed by Amilcare Pettinelli, Heinz Salfner is dubbed by Mario Gallina and The Trio Capinere are dubbed by the Trio Lescano.
