"The Screen Guild Theater" broadcast a 30-minute radio adaptation of the movie on December 8, 1947, with Victor Mature and Ethel Barrymore reprising their film roles.
According to Darryl Zanuck, this film lost $1.3 million at the box office.
Helen Walker refused the role of Audrey Ashton, asking to be released from her 20th Century Fox contract in November 1946 (some four weeks before the car she was driving was involved in a serious accident resulting in criminal charges which - though eventually dismissed - would make Walker somewhat of a Hollywood outcast).
