The 12th of 16 movies about the suave detective nicknamed "The Falcon" released from 1941 to 1949, and the penultimate one produced at RKO.
One of the songs introduced by Nick advertises the "new picture 'The Bamboo Blonde'", another RKO film which also featured Jane Greer (Lola), and a smaller role for Jean Brooks (Baroness Lena). The Bamboo Blonde would come out three months after this film.
