An establishing long shot of the baseball park at the beginning of the World Series game reveals that it is Yankee Stadium --- the famous frieze of the upper deck facade is clear and recognizable. However, most game action on the field takes place in a mid-1930s version of Navin Field, home of the Detroit Tigers, and may be newsreel footage from one of the Tigers' two appearances in the Series of that era, 1934 and 1935.
