This one is pure genius. Not only is it a Daffy Duck short, but it also features an early version of Yosemite Sam. And his brother who has a big Black Mustache instead of being red.
It's taken place in the middle of a Klondike area. The 2 Yosemite Brothers are all starving and out of food.
They're both thinking of eating one another till Daffy Comes along as a CookBook Salesman. Little does he know that he's going to be the main course for the Brother's Supper.
This is one of the top 10 Daffy Duck cartoons in my option.
A must see for those who admire that goofy Duck.

Daffy is one of my favorite Cartoon Characters of all time, and It's no surprise that this cartoon is up there with some of the Daffy Greats, and Has one of the coziest atmospheres in all of Looney tunes shorts. A Funny cartoon, but the animation is also a shining point of this. The Shading, Lighting, and background shots and angles are Quite superb, and definitely is something I could watch over and over again.
9/10.

I don't know about anyone else but I love Daffy Duck and Yosemite Sam when they're together. When they are together, they get a lot of laughs from me. Along Came Daffy may not be their very best collaboration together, as some of the pacing is a little too quick at times, but it is hugely enjoyable and very nicely rounded off. The animation is fine, the backgrounds are colourful and the character designs are very well done. The music as is the case helps add to the sense of fun, as does the exemplary vocal talents of Mel Blanc. Daffy is very manic and brash here and I like that side to him, Yosemite and his brother serve as perfect foils for him though I kind of felt sorry for them when they had nothing to eat at the end. Overall, hugely enjoyable and worth seeing. 9/10 Bethany Cox

This Warner Bros. Cartoon has Yosemite Sam and his black-haired brother at a snowy cabin trying to eat each other as they're very hungry and a mouse in the hole-in-the-wall keeps eating all the little leftovers! But then Daffy comes knocking at their door selling a cookbook and suddenly the Two Sams try to catch him for their meal! This was very funny from beginning to end as the Duck keeps trying to keep himself at arm's length from them the entire time! Director Friz Freleng keeps the pace fast and furious to hilarious results. Especially concerning one final gag that I won't reveal here. So that's a high recommendation of Along Came Daffy.
One of the funniest Daffy Duck movies as Daffy, selling cookbooks door to door, shows up at the Klondike Cabin of starving Yosemite Sam and his brother. Duffy at his brashest is hilarious and the sight gags have never been bettered. Freleng's strength was fitting gags into a story line that made sense.... of sorts. This is a prime example.
Fun Daffy short, directed by Friz Freleng, that pairs Daffy with Yosemite Sam. That's unusual as Sam appeared exclusively with Bugs in all but a couple of shorts. The cartoon starts out with Sam and his dark-haired twin (!) starving in a cabin during a blizzard. Door-to-door salesman Daffy shows up and you can imagine the starving brothers are pleased to see him. The dark-haired "Sam" gets a little more to do here than Yosemite but it's still interesting to see Sam paired with Daffy. Nice music from Carl Stalling. Great voice work from Mel Blanc. Excellent animation. The cabin is especially nice and detailed. A pretty funny effort all around but not one that'll make Freleng's highlight reel.
