Of the initially planned cast (Nani Fernández, Alfredo Mayo, Julio Peña, Antonio Vilar and Carlos Muñoz) only the latter made it to the screen.
Although the first of the four stories is supposed to take place in Algiers, the locations were actually filmed in the Ciutadella Park in Barcelona on 7 and 8 July 1947. Luis Hermosa, acting as production assistant, had to pay the city council the sum of one thousand pesetas for permission to set up the camera there and have visitors dressed in period costume circulate.
