Errol Flynn and Ida Lupino were friends since childhood. She is quoted as saying, "I loved Errol Flynn, who was one of my dear, dear, dear friends. He was just marvelous. Fun and well, a very kind person, very sensitive." She called Flynn "The Baron," while he called her "Little Scout".
On the advertising, Errol Flynn is shown with his mustache. However, in the film itself, he is clean shaven.
This film failed at the box office, not bringing in enough to cover its negative cost, let alone distribution and advertising expenses.
This film went into production in November 1945 but was not released until 2 years later, in November 1947.
