Steve Price's car is a 1938 Cadillac Sixty Special, a trend-setting car that was made in one the the last years in which Cadillacs were not available with automatic transmissions. This would complicate the staging of the accident, since the car would have to roll down a hill that leads to a cliff. The fact that the car involved was 9 years old, and the fact that its destruction is not shown, are probably both due to the limited budget available for this movie.
Although they were born about a year apart, Barry Sullivan (Steve) and Janis Carter (Paula) would pass away a month apart in 1994, he in June and she in July.
