Larry asks out Millie, but she already has plans with Shemp. He does not take it well. She tells Shemp who also does not take it well. While Larry is leching on his secretary Miss Lapdale, Moe comes in accusing him of being with Moe's wife Belle, but he is able to convince Moe otherwise. In reality, Moe's accusation is true and Belle would like to get rid of him. When Shemp comes accusing Larry, Larry is able to deflect him onto Belle.

This one is a little different mainly due to the Stooges' different relationships. Larry is quite a lecher in this one and it is a different flavor. I like the variety, but it is not their usual concepts. They still do plenty of slapstick.

One of my favorite Three Stooges shorts.

HE COOKED HIS GOOSE (1952) Is in my top ten Shemp films. Yes, the whole short starts off boring and silly, but wait until the part with Cedric the clam. After that, there's a big and hilarious scene, where Larry sends Shemp to model underwear at Moe's wife's house. Then Larry sends Shemp's fiance to the house and she thinks Shemp is two-timing her. A big mix-up happens there, but I won't give it away. This is an excellent short, right up there with HEAVENLY DAZE (1948).

    Grade: A+

Weak, but good at the ending

Once again, this is the jealous husband plot that has been used too much. Most interestingly though, the stooges play separate characters and Larry is the star. But the beginning is quite silly and weak, so are Moe and Shemp's confrontations with Larry for making time with their girls except for the part in which Shemp gets into a battle with Cedric the clam. The ending was pretty funny though.

    Rating: C-

One of my favorite Three stooges favorites

This has to be one of the funniest three stooges shorts, in my opinion it is. But it might start off great but there is a funny part in the begining when Larry is eating hard boiled eggs and he not looking and accidently picks up a golf ball and tries eat it. but I think the funniest scene in this short is with Larry, Shemp, and Cedric The Clam. Cedric and Shemp don't get along too good. I have a bunch of three stooges shorts not including this one.

    • Trivia
During filming, Moe Howard and Shemp Howard received sad news that Curly had passed away, having suffered another stroke. Moe was planning to transfer him to another hospital before this happened (due to the nurses at the present one being unable to handle Curly, who was by now suffering mental deterioration).
    • Goofs
Larry and Shemp can be seen moving slightly so Cedric the clam can aim at the latter's face correctly.
    • Quotes

Belle: [Moe's standing on a stepladder, decorating a Christmas tree] Be careful, Moe, dear. You might fall.

      [to herself]

      Belle: I hope.

Moe: Why, Belle, baby, the only one I would ever fall for is you.

[he suddenly gets electrocuted by the Christmas lights and falls with the tree falling on top of him]
