Die Privatsekretärin (1931)
The Office Girl (1931)
The plot is exactly the same (a secretary arriving at a girl's pension enamours her boss). The starting sequence is the same in both versions (the girl arriving in a train). The lead characters (the secretary, the boss, the porter) act the same (e.g. the porter is also a music conductor in his spare time). It ends the same way. Also the pension girls lend their clothes etc. to the secretary to look better when going to her boss'apartment. The 1953 is a remake almost scene per scene of this 1931 version. Two of the songs (Ich bin ja heut'so glücklich = Today I feel so happy and Ich hab 'ne alte Tante = I have an Aunt Eliza) are the same (albeit the translation) by Paul Abraham.La segretaria privata (1931)
