Really good old Swedish film! Stig Järrel at his best! It really makes you think about religious hypocrisy. I really enjoyed this.

I only put in this comment, since nobody else has bothered to and I think it's a shame. This is a film in the same vein as "Elmer Gantry" or "The Miracle Woman". It's as revealing as those two but it has an added punch to it with Stig Järrel delivering one more of his more or less diabolical performances. Just as with the other films there is a presentation of good and bad religion. This film is probably the best film Gunnar Hellström ever did and certainly the most touching one. It really deserves to be out on DVD. There is some brief scene of nudity, which was very unusual for the times when it premiered, especially since the woman in it is so beautiful. Don't see it only because of that though - you will be disappointed if you do.

13 years ago i wrote my first Review of this film. My rating has gone up since, because it had still not been released - not in any format.
This film is my most wanted film. There is nowhere even a gliimpse of it. It's as if it had never existed. It's as unreal as if "Citizen Kane" was nowhere to be found.
I urge anyone to release it - pronto!!!
