The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) isn’t naive. But he’s unaware of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) current plans.
With him serving as a quasi-don, the head of the Newman family aims to take out Jabot. He’s having his fixer gather as much intel as possible on the company’s immediate business plans.
Meanwhile, Jack believes his recent best of Victor through the Glissade pieces sale gives him one-up status. It does, but the Moustache is mad and seeking revenge.
Nikki Newman Was Not Nearly Dead
Victor won’t get off his exaggerated grudge. Indeed, Jack’s extreme and impulsive decision to order illicit drugs from his old dealer was entirely reckless.
But Jack’s life, not Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott), was endangered by subsequently ingesting those pills. He did so to provoke a reaction from the woman he...

Young and the Restless spoilers for March 3rd through the 14th show that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is going too far, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is provoking someone, and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is pleading.
Monday, March 3rd, we’ve got Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) telling Nate and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that she found out Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) does not own the companies that they thought he did, that he said he did. Instead, he is involved with shadowy billionaire Aristotle Dumas. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is more concerned about Lily having Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) dig into his brother than he is about what was dug up, and Nate is a little upset and tells Lily to stop.
Meanwhile, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) is optimistic about mending her relationship with Damian after they share. She reaffirms that nobody but her knew the truth about his paternity,...

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) world has blown up. He’s the cause of Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) outrage. But Adam is blaming Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Billy was right to be suspicious of the tension he sensed between Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam. After returning from Baltimore, Maryland, they acted strangely around each other and in front of him and Sally.
Sally just convinced herself that Adam had told her the truth. That makes Billy’s reveal all the more devastating.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Was Noble
Chelsea did what was right when telling Billy what happened with Adam. Yes, she could have told him earlier and did lie on more than one occasion when he pressed her to unburden herself.
However, Chelsea’s truthful detailing of her emotionally based reconnection with Adam profoundly impacted Billy.

“Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge” makes the case for artistic simplicity, for better or worse. The story of an iconic 20th-century fashionista, it takes the form of a traditional talking-head documentary while exploring its eponymous subject: the Belgian designer and princess best known for bringing the wrap dress to prominence in the early 1970s. However, the distinction between von Furstenberg’s sleek, form-fitting design and the movie’s run-of-the-mill aesthetic is that while both approaches are in wider conversation with their respective art forms, von Fustenberg’s (re)invention went against society’s grain in its reclamation of femininity, while the visual approach from directors Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton remains shackled to age-old ideas of what a documentary ought to be.
The film is often informative, but makes for a passively entertaining watch despite the sheer of breadth of life von Furstenberg has lived. She speaks, softly but with conviction,...

The Tribeca Festival gets underway today through June 16 with its customary mixture of high-profile panel discussions, starry celebrity docs (tonight’s opening night is Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton’s Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge), new media work and American and international acquisition titles hoping to attract the eye of buyers. About the new media work, Tribeca Immersive has shied away entirely from the sort of VR/Ar pieces that dominated recent Tribeca festivals, opting instead to present eight immersive art pieces at Mercer Labs. The June skies are clear as the Tribeca Festival gathers indie filmmakers from around the globe with a large slate of features and shorts, music, games, TV, audio storytelling and a major addition this year in De Niro Con, a tribute to the prolific actor and Tribeca co-founder.
The fest moved from April to June in part for the weather but that can’t be taken for granted — last year’s edition opened to a city blanketed with acrid smoke from Canadian wildfires as Mayor Eric Adams handed De Niro the key to the city at a press conference and Tribeca unveiled De Niro Con. Fan events and screenings with star power from Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Billy Crystal, Ben Stiller, David O. Russell, Christopher Walken and others will unspool over the last four days of the festival.

Tribeca Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal doesn’t follow a North Star as she and her team sift through tens of thousands of submissions each year. But as they whittle down those applicants to the 100 or so films comprising the final lineup, themes tend to emerge.
“It’s not like we set out to say, ‘This is what we want to do.’ As an activist film festival, we always look for [political] films,” says Rosenthal, who created Tribeca Festival with Robert De Niro in the wake of 9/11. “This year, there’s a mental health narrative. I don’t know if that’s a post-covid thing.”
Tribeca, now in its 23rd year, will take place from June 5-16 and highlight films led by Kristen Stewart, Lily Gladstone and Jenna Ortega. “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge,” a look at the fashion icon and entrepreneur, will open the festival, with anticipated documentaries about Prince,...

“Love And Angst”
By Raymond Benson
Woody Allen came off an incredible run of five superior films released between 1983 and 1987 (Zelig, Broadway Danny Rose, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Hannah and Her Sisters, and Radio Days) and then delivered one of his occasional “serious” pictures (without his presence as an actor) in late ’87 that was so dire that it only grossed approximately $500,000 in its initial run.
Basically a six-character “play” that takes many cues from the works of Anton Chekhov, September is set in a Vermont country house where depressed Lane (Mia Farrow) is recovering from a suicide attempt. Her best friend Stephanie (Dianne Wiest) is there for moral support. Lane is in love with tenant/writer Peter (Sam Waterston), and neighbor/teacher Howard (Denholm Elliott) is in love with Lane. She doesn’t share Howard’s affections, but Peter, however, is in love with Stephanie. Coming to visit into...

Anything is possible in the world of Twin Peaks, and in this new season it’s been ridiculously hard to draw any conclusions or make any predictions at all. But, as the weeks go by, it only becomes clearer that evil Richard Horne is in fact the child of Audrey and Evil Coop. I didn’t want it to be true. I hated the idea that Evil Coop raped Audrey (while she was comatose in the hospital after the bank explosion way back in the series finale). But Richard was so evil in this episode, who else could be his dad?...

Sir Roger Moore, the iconic British actor who swept to fame playing The Saint and James Bond, has passed away from cancer at age 89. Moore grew up in a middle class lifestyle in Lambeth during WW2 and was among the children evacuated from the city during the Blitz. He had planned a career as a cartoonist but his good looks and charismatic personality drew him first to modeling and then studying acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. He found success early in his career and was placed for a time under contract with MGM in Hollywood. However stardom didn't follow immediately. Moore mostly appeared in soap opera stories opposite big stars but none of the films were very successful and was dismissed as just another pretty face. In the 1956 period costume drama "Diane", he was Lana Turner's leading man- but the film...

From Fred Astaire dance sequences to gravity-defying hotel corridor fights, we salute the technically mind-boggling rotating movie set...
If the movies represent the point where creativity, commerce and technical skill converge, then the rotating movie set is probably the perfect example of those three disciplines working to create cinema magic. Requiring intense planning, expensive materials and an army of builders, the use of a rotating set - essentially an ordinary stage suspended within a steel gimbal, like a shoebox wedged in a washing machine drum - has been used to occasional yet jaw-dropping effect over the past 60 years.
This article doesn't claim to list every instance of a rotating set ever captured on film, but it does, we hope, provide a good example of the different ways they can be used. Whether they're used to make us believe an evil spirit can fling helpless humans against a wall,...

'One review I had for Bond said I looked like a floor-walker who had had three facelifts. You've got to laugh'
What got you started?
A toga. I'd lost regular employment as a cartoon animator, so some friends who were doing crowd work on films told me to come and join them on a film called Caesar and Cleopatra. I was dressed up in a toga, given a spear and gold sandals, and stood with 2,000 others. Later, the director approached me, and asked whether I would consider training to be an actor.
Who or what have you sacrificed for your art?
Sometimes I've had to put myself on a diet. For Bond, I had to lose at least a stone or two. It was quite painful.
Since playing James Bond, has it been difficult to avoid being typecast?
When I was doing Bond, I was always being sent scripts to play the derring-do hero,...
