If there’s a role that defined Arnold Schwarzenegger’s career, it’s the Terminator. He was already famous even before starring in James Cameron’s film, but his stardom soared to greater heights after he took on the iconic role.

Capcom clearly had hit a brick wall after the misfire that was Devil May Cry 2 was released in 2003. The game sold well, but sales were still lower than expected. That, and they couldn’t ignore the negative criticism from fans and critics. So, what do you do? Capcom decided to go back to what made the original game such a blast to play, and use that as the basis for Devil May Cry 3. The end result righted many of the wrongs of the first sequel, and gave players a more developed mechanic of the flashy over-the-top combat that has been a mainstay with the series ever since. And, with the new Netflix adaptation on the way this April, it only makes sense now to revisit this SSStylish PlayStation 2 gem.
Taking place a decade before the events of the first Devil May Cry, Dante is just about to open his as-yet-unnamed shop.

Jan Shepard, who acted opposite Elvis Presley in 1958’s King Creole and 1966’s Paradise, Hawaiian Style, and appeared in more than 30 TV Westerns, died Jan. 17 at a hospital in Burbank, Calif. of pneumonia brought on by respiratory failure. She was 96.
In King Creole, noted as Presley’s favorite of his films, she portrayed his on-screen sister Mimi. Eight years later, Shepard played Presley’s business partner’s wife in the ’60s buddy musical comedy. In an interview from last year, Shepard said she wasn’t a fan of Presley’s ahead of working with him, but “once I met him, I just adored him.”
Per an official obituary, Presley and Shepard got on well and went to off-set lunches (where Marlon Brando once made a chance appearance). Describing him as a “big teddy bear,” Shepard once recalled that he gave her a pair of 10-cent earrings as a joke before...

All of Hyper Light Breaker's three currently playable characters have some pretty excellent Rail build potential, but none is quite as satisfying as Vermillion's capacity for critical damage. One of his two SyComs, Gunslinger, guarantees that any hit following a critical hit will also be critical, allowing him to do massive burst damage with the right loadout. Not only is Gunslinger's ability pretty excellent, the base stats it gives are nothing to sneeze at, giving this SyCom high potential in most runs.
When it comes to your Breaker's loadout, there are a lot of things to consider. For one, there are tons of Rail, Blade, Amp, and Holobyte options to pick from, so how are you to choose? Additionally, you have to be aware of how much durability your weapon has, and if you're not going to make it out of your current run alive, how will your...

Jonathan Haze had over 40 screen acting credits to his name, with many of those credits being earned on Roger Corman productions – and the one credit that stands out among all others came when Haze took on the role of Seymour Krelborn in Corman’s 1960 man-eating plant classic The Little Shop of Horrors. We lost Corman earlier this year, when he passed away at the age of 98. Now, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that we’ve lost Haze as well. His daughter Rebecca informed them that Haze passed away at his home in Los Angeles this past Saturday at the age of 95.
A cousin of drummer Buddy Rich, Haze was born with the name Jack Aaron Schachter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 1, 1929. He worked the stage for Rich and was Josephine Baker’s stage manager for two years before he got into acting. He hitchhiked to L.A. and got a...

Jonathan Haze, who starred for Roger Corman as the flower shop assistant Seymour Krelborn in the original The Little Shop of Horrors, just one of two dozen films he made with the B-movie legend, has died. He was 95.
Haze died Saturday at his home in Los Angeles, his daughter, Rebecca Haze, told The Hollywood Reporter.
A cousin of drummer Buddy Rich, Haze was a valuable and versatile member of Corman’s repertory company from 1954 — when he acted in The Fast and the Furious and Monster From the Ocean Floor — until 1967, when he appeared in The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre and served as an assistant director on The Born Losers.
In one of his more noteworthy turns, Haze portrayed one of the three teenagers who stumble upon $250,000 worth of heroin and become dealers in Warner Bros. drama Stakeout on Dope Street (1958), the first feature directed by Irvin Kershner.

Scoops are timed side missions in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. They allow Frank to gain extra Prestige Points (Pp) to level up quickly. Certain Scoops also give more story context, or can prevent tragedies from occurring in future days. Several of them require progression in the main story cases, but some are reliant on other Scoops to be completed. If you fail either of the two, that Scoop will be inaccessible until you restart the game.
With the tight deadlines in every version of Dead Rising, expect to miss some Scoops on your first playthrough. Frank will begin the adventure at a low level, and might not have the skills to even safely reach some of the destinations in time. Consider waiting to complete every Scoop until a second try. You can then use all of that accumulated Pp to make a strong main character and focus on a particular ending.

The revised and expanded version of The Gunslinger makes The Man In Black a pivotal villain in King's connected universe. Flagg, Walter, Marten are the same person: a powerful, ambiguous, ageless villain. Flagg is revealed to be a master manipulator, influencing Roland's journey through Mid-World and beyond over countless years.
Stephen King's epic The Dark Tower series has no shortage of memorable antagonists, but a change made in the revised and expanded edition of The Gunslinger helped elevate one villain above all others. King's long and storied fantasy series acts as the backbone of his connected universe, containing elements from many of his other novels and short stories. Perhaps the most important of these cross-over elements is the villains that Roland Deschain and his ka-tet encounter throughout the course of his journey across Mid-World.

With a heavy focus on non-automatic pistols and charm, a Gunslinger build is one of the most entertaining ways of playing Fallout 4. Gunslinger builds are a Fallout franchise staple and a hugely popular option in all modern Fallout games, including Fallout 4. The chance to play a character who can kill the Wasteland's deadliest creatures with nothing more than a quick-draw pistol can prove hard to resist.
Much like Fallout 4's best sniper build, the Gunslinger build has plenty of depth and flexibility, and players are encouraged to tweak and experiment to personalize it. To build a character, players will need to consider how to distribute the Sole Survivor's S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats and pick the best Perks. Finding the best weapons and armor can also significantly enhance a character's gunslinging capabilities.

Rat City, the upcoming spin-off series in the Spawn universe, focuses on the adventures of ex-soldier Peter Cairn as he becomes the latest Hellspawn hero. Cairn's powers come from Al Simmons' explosion of necroplasm in Spawn #301, which affects the nanites in his prosthetic legs and transforms him into a Hellspawn. Unlike previous Hellspawns, Cairn is a living character and has no connection to Hell, giving him a unique origin story in the franchise.
After breaking records throughout the run of Spawn, Todd McFarlane has continued to expand his universe, most recently with the announced Rat City spin-off. Like many of the new projects in the franchise, this latest series' events can be traced back to Al Simmons' actions in the record-shattering 2019 issue Spawn #301.

"Questions" establishes Spawn's origin and powers, setting the stage for the entire series. "Justice" sets the dark and gritty tone of the Spawn franchise, exploring the depths of human depravity. "Payback" expands the Spawn universe by subtly merging with another Image Comics series, Youngblood - and those are just three of the 10 '90s storylines that cemented Spawn's current popularity.
Todd McFarlane’s Spawn rose to prominence with the establishment of Image Comics in the early 1990s, and the franchise has remained extremely popular ever since. Not only has Spawn already received the live-action treatment (with plans for a new Spawn movie reportedly in the works), but the original comic book alone has grown exponentially into a multi-title, record-breaking universe.

When cinephiles of a certain sensibility talk about the best decades for horror, they’ll probably point to the 1980s with its explosion of cutting-edge special effects and home video-induced demand for material. Or they might point to the era of Universal Pictures’ domination in the 1930s, followed up then by the moody Val Lewton thrillers of the 1940s. Maybe even a very unpopular kid will try to make an argument for the 2010s, at least until everyone pulls the A24 hat over his eyes and kicks him out.
But moviegoers would be foolish to overlook the 1960s. The decade saw not only two amazing horror flicks from Alfred Hitchcock but also caught the genre in an interesting time of transition. Filmmakers built on the Gothic approach of previous decades by adding a psychological dimension, finding new chills in an established model. We all know Mystery Science Theater 3000 as the show in which a human host and a couple of robots make fun of bad movies. According to in-universe lore, the movies come via mad scientist members of the Forrester family, who test the sanity of a human subject by forcing them to watch terrible films. The humans — beginning with Joel Robinson (series creator Joel Hodgson), followed by Mike Nelson (Michael J. Nelson), Jonah Heston (Jonah Ray), and Emily Connor (Emily Marsh) — fight back by riffing on the films, a task made easier not just by the robot sidekicks Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo, but also by the genuine awfulness of the movies.

When you begin a new campaign roll while playing Remnant 2 solo, some archetype classes are at their best while working alone. While many abilities of your character would normally be useful alongside a team, the perks you gain are versatile for exploration through infested worlds, even without friends. Although each archetype can be strong on its own, some will struggle more than others without backup.
Every class has a Prime Perk that unlocks when you select them as your main archetype, with two upgrades available when your character reaches levels 5 and 10. Additional perks called Archetype Perks provide passive bonuses from four categories: Damage, Team, Utility, and Relic. One of three Skills may be selected to equip your character at a time, adding even more layers to the customization in Remnant 2.

The Archetypes are one of the biggest selling points of Remnant 2, including its special Gunslinger Archetype. This Archetype is available as a starting Archetype for players who purchased the pre-order of the game. However, players can still collect the Gunslinger Archetype later in the game by progressing through the main campaign.
The Gunslinger Archetype in Remnant 2 is essentially a cowboy character. Most of the Archetype's skills help reserve ammo, acting as a solid Dps option. The Gunslinger lives up to its name through its abilities like Quickdraw and its perks like Posse Up. If players want to acquire this Archetype, they'll have to commit to the wait.

The Scorched #17 by Sean Lewis, Todd McFarlane, Steven Segovia, Ulises Arreola and Andworld Design picks up the story of the newly-arrived Monolith, an alien Hellspawn from another planet. Thinking they’re in for a fight, Scorched team members She-Spawn, Medieval Spawn and the Redeemer instead learn that Monolith is there to warn them of a coming threat. The alien Hellspawn shows them that Earth has been marked for annihilation. “Your planet is now tagged and marked to make it easy for them to find it,” Monolith tells them. “It’ll shine like a beacon and ‘the Hunters’ will come.” Monolith explains that these hunters are known as “Planet Eaters,...

Techland are going for a deep dive with their latest content drop for Dying Light 2. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of their 2013 Wild West Fps Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, Techland are offering up a slew of new Western-themed items and enemies from their shooter for the upcoming Undead or Alive event for Dying Light 2.
The Undead or Alive event, which is available from May 31 to June 7, will see players complete goals exclusive to the event to obtain the Gunslinger-themed Boomstick, aka the Mean-ass gun, Ray McCall’s charm, a machete-like Bowie Knife and more — including explosive select blueprints in the new Gunslinger Bundle.
The aforementioned Boomstick can only be discovered during the event, when players will have a chance to come across it around Special Infected (except Virals), Postal Vans, Ambulances, and Military Trucks.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Gunslinger Spawn #19Since making his comics debut, Gunslinger Spawn has been one of the most popular characters in the Spawn line. Now, the pistol-packing Hellspawn has gotten an all-new redesign that is here to stay.
Shared via Twitter by the official McFarlane Comics account, the new design made its debut in Gunslinger Spawn #19 by Todd McFarlane, Brett Booth, Adelso Corona, Ivan Nunes and Tom Orzechowski. It’s not a drastic change from what came before; Gunslinger still has his trademark duster and elongated, pilgrim-style hat, but the new design is more streamlined. Instead of the white bat-wing shapes over the eyes that have become synonymous with Spawn, Gunslinger now has something looking more like a bandana mask covering his eyes à la Zorro. His spiked gauntlets, boots and the distinctive “M” on his torso have also been streamlined and simplified, making the character more distinct from Al Simmons’ Spawn.

Quick Links How Solar Works In Destiny 2 Best Solar Titan Builds In Destiny 2: Lightfall (Sunbreaker) Best Solar Hunter Builds In Destiny 2: Lightfall (Gunslinger) Best Solar Warlock Builds In Destiny 2: Lightfall (Dawnblade)
Destiny 2’s Solar builds in the Lightfall expansion are an excellent choice for players who want to, quite literally, melt through their opponents without being preoccupied with their Hp bar. The fire-based subclass is one of Light and has been available since the first game. While it was only usable by Hunters and Warlocks at Destiny’s launch, Titans later received a Solar subclass. Though each class uses the Light element differently, its ultimate purpose across all three is healing and buffing the team for more damage.
Certain Solar builds, especially for high-end content, such as Raids, Dungeons, and Nightfalls, are indispensable. Although Solar Warlocks in Destiny 2, particularly those with Well of Radiance, has always been seen under these lenses.

Killer machines are a narrative trope about as old as machinery itself, but there’s something especially creepy about metallic killers when they’re roughly human-shaped. And as we’ve seen with the success of Blumhouse’s insanely popular M3GAN, the uncanny valley can still go a long way when it comes to attracting modern audiences.
With that in mind, we’ve decided to celebrate the home release of M3GAN with a list of six other memorable killer androids in horror movies. After all, these man-made movie monsters evolved alongside Hollywood’s understanding of technology, so we’ve seen some pretty interesting homicidal automatons over the years.
Obviously, this list is based on personal opinion, but we’ll still be following a couple of rules. First of all, we’ll be excluding cyborgs from the list, as their human bits make them a completely different kind of character. Second, we...

Toots and the Maytals transformed Fleetwood Mac’s 1969 tune “Man of the World” into an aching reggae ballad for the upcoming compilation, Red, Gold, Green and Blue, out July 12th via Trojan Jamaica. The cover arrives with a video featuring live footage and clips of Toots and the Maytals recording “Man of the World” in the studio.
Written by Peter Green and released in the pre-Stevie Nicks/Lindsey Buckingham days of Fleetwood Mac, “Man of the World,” is a slow, electric blues number about a world-weary man unable to find love.

Here’s a shocker: Duff McKagan’s new solo album Tenderness, out today, is more country sounding than some mainstream Nashville releases joining it on record-store shelves. The Guns N’ Roses bassist embraced that rootsy, even twangy, vibe wholeheartedly when he kicked off his solo tour at Philadelphia’s Theatre of Living Arts on Thursday night.
Backed by Shooter Jennings, who produced Tenderness, and Jennings’ four-piece band, including fiddle player Aubrey Richmond, McKagan recreated the woke 11-song LP in its entirety and rewarded Gnr diehards with Use Your Illusion I deep cuts.

Release Date: April 16, 2019
Platform: PS4 (reviewed), Xbo, PC
Developer: Saber Interactive
Publisher: Focus Home Interactive
Genre: Cooperative Third-person Shooter
With explosive, borderline addictive gameplay and zero fatal flaws in its design or execution, World War Z is a frenetically fun four-player co-op zombie shooter that’s hard not to like, even if it doesn’t push the boundaries of the genre. For fans who have long been waiting for Valve to release another Left 4 Dead game, there’s a good chance that Saber Interactive’s take on the formula scratches that years-long itch.
The game is technically based on the 2013 Brad Pitt film of the same name, though that connection is only minimally relevant. At the moment, the campaign is divided into four chapters, with each chapter set in a different city...

Amazon’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower book series has found its Gunslinger. Sam Strike (Nightflyers) has been cast as the lead, Roland Deschain, in the project, which I hear is nearing a formal pilot order at the streaming platform.
Jasper Pääkkönen will co-star in the drama, from executive producer/showrunner Glen Mazzara and Mrc. The project had had a blinking green light for a couple of months, with casting quietly underway. It had been in development at Amazon for almost a year.
The Dark Tower TV series is independent from the film and is meant to be a more faithful retelling of the book than the movie was. Though the Ghost Survivors Dlc for the remake of Resident Evil 2 ultimately didn’t prove to be my cup of tea, it’s been adored by those who love extra gameplay scenarios such as “The 4th Survivor” or Raid Mode. If you were to ask me, the new content kind of feels like a marriage of those two concepts.
Believe it or not, there’s a way to make your future Ghost Survivors playthroughs a lot easier. But much like how unlocking weapons with infinite ammo during the main game is quite difficult, so, too, is doing so in the Dlc. In fact, one could argue that it’s even more challenging after reading this article.

Last year was meant to see the beginnings of an exciting and unique new franchise that was to cross over the mediums. Unfortunately though, like many shared universes before it, it tried to run before it could walk and pretty much fell flat on its face.
We are, of course, talking about The Dark Tower, which was the planned first installment in a series of films based on Stephen King’s magnum opus. Due to terrible reviews and lack of box office interest, however, the future looks bleak for the property. On the big screen, at least.
On TV, however, things could tell a different story. Originally, the idea was for the show to be a companion piece to the film series, but it now seems that the television side of things will forge its own path instead and finally, the wheels are in motion. That’s because after wallowing in development hell for years,...

In the midst of our excitement for this week’s release of Alex Garland’s “Ex Machina” (which is fantastic and reviewed here), it hit us: 2015 is teeming with artificial intelligence movies. The Singularity is not far off and this swell has practically come out of nowhere, with last year’s awesome Disney hit “Big Hero 6,” the disastrous Johnny Depp vehicle "Transcendence," and 2013’s British indie-sleeper “The Machine” amounting to most of what the subgenre has had to offer in the decade so far. As a way to compensate for this human error, 2015 is going to be much more artificially and intelligently inclined, with the theme replete in a variety of mainstream and indie sci-fi films.
We’ve already seen “Chappie”. This week comes the aforementioned Garland movie, and coming soon is Joss Whedon’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Don’t forget that “Terminator” is back this year, with...

In celebration of Sound on Sight’s 7th anniversary, writers were asked to come up with articles that present their childhood favorites in the realm of films, TV shows, books or games.
I chose films and anyone who has any familiarity with my writing knows I am virtually incapable of writing an article about a single film so I’m going to focus on a number of movies I saw in my youth.
Growing up in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio, I was fortunate enough to have my own room and my own TV set.
My family didn’t go out to the cinema very often so my introduction to movies was primarily through television.

CBS has closed deals for The Rifleman, a drama project based on the 1958 Western series about a 1880s widower with a rapid-fire Winchester rifle living on a ranch with his son. Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier will write and Chris Columbus is set to direct the reboot, which, like the original, centers on Civil war hero, Lucas McCain, an unparalleled sharpshooter with a haunted past, who moves to the uncharted New Mexico territory to raise his son Mark. 127 Hours (20th Century Fox) Harrowing true story of Aron Ralston (James Franco, in another fine turn), an extreme outdoorsman who finds himself trapped in a remote Utah canyon, his arm pinned between two boulders, with no help nearby, no communication to the outside world, and dim prospects for survival, to say the least. Director Danny Boyle manages to prove again that he’s one of the finest filmmakers working today by making a subject that is seemingly uncinematic a true example of pure cinema. Inventive, breathtaking, funny, and horrifying, often all at once. Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara make a memorable, brief appearance as hikers who connect with Ralston during his journey. Also available on Blu-ray disc. Bonuses: Commentary by Boyle, producer Christian Colson, co-writer Simon Beaufoy; Deleted scenes; Featurettes. Widescreen. Dolby and DTS-hd 5.1 surround.
