Alexis Smith was suspended by Warner Brothers when she refused the role of Janie Martin.
Warner Brothers reuse of footage from the film 'Dodge City' includes the crowd scenes and the shoot-out scenes seen at the start .Also some of the bar room brawl including the scene where the stuntman is thrown through the window. A sheriff's notice has the name of Wade Hatton on it, the sheriff played by Errol Flynn in the earlier film. A part of Flynn's body is actually seen as he pins a sheriff's badge on his belt.
Richard L. Bare replaced Ray Enright as director shortly before filming began.
