Eulalio González met Pedro Infante two years ago in Monterrey, where González worked in a radio station. He interviewed Infante in his program. After almost two years,González leaved the show and went to Mexico City in search of a big career as a broadcaster, but he couldn't find a job. With no money, he went to a radio station, but he was rejected. Then, he went outside and was lining on the wall trying to figure out what to do, when Infante arrived in his luxurious car. González was surprised when Infante recognized him and went direct to shake his hand. When González told him that he couldn't find a job, Infante immediatily grab his arm and pulled him into the sation. Then, he personally recommended his "friend" for a Job. He even gave some money to Eulalio. Several months later, when the producers were searching for an actor who could play "Piporro", the old cowboy, Infante recommendwd González for the role.
