The character Umberto Scalli brilliantly returns in Racket Girls from 1951. Making that movie something of a sequel with a very similar story line.
Even though this movie was a low budget exploitation movie featuring female nudity in the 1940's, the cast included some notable actors: Lita Grey as the judge. At 16, Lita married Charlie Chaplin who was 36, and had two children before she was 18, Charlies, Jr. and Sydney Chaplin. John Mitchum, as the intern, was Robert Mitchum's younger brother. And Margaret Roach, as a nurse, was the daughter of film mogul Hal Roach.
Final film of Margaret Roach.
