Based on a real event happened in July 1959, when a policeman fined a police commissioner for an overtaking and the latter was irritated of not having been taken into consideration and stating that the overtaking was allowed. Like in the movie, the story ended up in court, and during the trial several hidden aspects of the commissioner's private life became public.
