Leon Vitali, who starred in Eyes Wide Shut and Barry Lyndon before switching his career focus from acting to serving as Stanley Kubrick’s personal assistant, has died. He was 74.

Details of Vitali’s death were not immediately available, but it was confirmed by Kubrick’s official social media presence.

“These announcements are never easy, but this one has hit us particularly hard this morning,” Kubrick’s account wrote on Instagram. “It is with the greatest of sadness that we have to tell you that the talented, loyal & mainstay of a vast number of Kubrick’s films, Leon Vitali, passed away peacefully last night.”

The post continued, “Our thoughts are with his family and all that knew and loved him. We will be paying tribute to Leon all day to honour him.”

Veronica Carlson, the British actress and Hammer Horror Films star of such 1960s favorites as Dracula Has Risen from the Grave and Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed, died Feb. 27 of natural causes at her home in Bluffton, South Carolina. She was 77.

Her performance as the vampire’s intended victim was the first of her trio of popular Hammer movies, and was followed in 1969 by Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed starring Peter Cushing...

The singer, 25, announced on social media Thursday that she will be releasing a collaboration with Marshmello, titled “Wolves,” on Oct. 25. “Selenators, meet the mellogang,” Gomez tweeted to her fans and followers along with a photo of her and the helmeted DJ/producer.

“Wolves” will be Gomez’s third Edm feature following the success of “It Ain’t Me” with Kygo and “I Want You to Know” with Zedd.
