Sheriff Lester Sands (Julio Perez Tabernero) travels to Lindsberg to chase bandits who are attacking on the region . Along the way he saves a damsel (Vicky Lagos) in distress when her stagecoach is assaulted by cutthroats . Lester Sands suspects the outlaws hide at the town , that's why they carried out a hold-up at a nearly village . During the robbing the Bank director was wounded , and her daughter (Maria Pia Conte) accompanied by some henchmen comes to Lindsberg to investigate . The sheriff stands between a dangerous gang , a corrupt deputy and a powerful Mayor (Albert Farley) while investigating the robberies and murders . Killings , Saloon brawls , gunfights, beatings and other mayhem ensue.
This stirring tortilla Western packs thrills , shootouts , fights , noisy action , and riding pursuits . Spanish production filmed in Catalunya , full of familiar faces , assaults , betrayal , exaggerated characters , gun-down , lots of shots and brawls . The film packs action , shootouts , drama , treason , high body-count and it's fast moving , being little entertaining and approaching increasingly the American as well as Spaghetti style , but keeping some details that make it special in this particular Paella genre .This movie is simply chaotic with some non-sense scenes . All of this is wrapped in an embarrassing package that actually may recommend the movie to fans of "trash cinema" . In other words, this film emptily goes through the motions at a frantic pace, but it really rushes nowhere . The picture entertainingly bad but does not allow for the usual subtexts and undercurrents to develop that can make these flicks . Starring a mediocre actor , Julio Perez Tabernero , as a tough sheriff who attempts to find out heists , murders and vows revenge . Tabernero is so-so as a tough sheriff who shoots , hits and runs ; besides , receiving violent punches and wounds . His nemesis is the nasty Mayor played by the Italian Alberto Farnesio or Albert Farley . Support cast is formed by familiar faces from Spaghetti/Chorizo westerns as Cesar Ojinava ,Gaspar 'Indio' González , Javier Conde , Fernando Rubio and the comical relief by the famous comical artist ¨Gila¨ as a sympathetic undertaker .
And being badly photographed in Technicolor/Techniscope by Victor Moreal , that's why a perfect remastering is necessary . Mostly filmed in atmospheric though poor scenarios on location in Fraga , (Huesca) , similar to Almeria , and a Western village located in ¨Splugues De Llobregat¨ built by Balcazar Productions . Atmospheric musical score by Enrique Escobar , Iquino's ordinary , including songs sungs by the gorgeous vedette Vicky Peña . The motion picture was lousily produced/directed by prolific filmmaker Ignacio F Iquino , under pseudonym Steve McCoy . Iquino is considered to be one of the worst filmmakers of Spanish film history . He wrote , directed and produced lots of films by means of his production company : ¨I.F.I.¨ (IFISA) that financed lots of Westerns such as : ¨Oeste Nevada Joe¨ , ¨Ninguno De Los Tres Llamaba Trinidad¨, ¨La Diligencia De Condenados¨, ¨Fabulosos De Trinidad¨, ¨20 Pasos a Muerte¨ , ¨Dólar a Fuego¨, ¨Abre Tu Fosa Llega Sabata¨ ¨¨Un colt para 4 cirios¨, and ¨5 Pistolas De Texas¨ . Most of them starred by Richard Harrison , Jorge Martin or George Martin , Luis Davila , Daniel Martin or Robert Woods . Iquino was a Spanish craftsman , writing and directing ; working from the 40s in all kind of genres and B movies until the late 80s . Although he also directed acceptable films as ¨Historia De Una Escalera¨ based on Antonio Buero Vallejo's novel , ¨El Judas¨, ¨Angeles Al Volante¨, ¨Tambor Del Bruch¨ and ¨Brigada Criminal¨ at his best . Rating : 3.5/10 , a turkey film , being some moments briefly entertaining , though sometimes embarrassing . If you like Chorizo , Paella , Tortilla , Butifarra or Spaghetti westerns , this one remains a little watchable in the final action scenes . Co-directed by Juan Xiol Marchal , he is also deemed to be one of the worst Spanish directors with titles as El precio del aborto , Las piernas de la serpiente , El hombre de Caracas, La extranjera , Avenida Roma, 66 , Sendas cruzadas , ¿Milagro en la ciudad? , Horas prohibidas and made another Western : ¨Rio Maldito¨(66) with Gerard Landry and Dan Harrison . This picture titled ¨Cinque dollars per Ringo¨ (Italian title) or ¨5 rafales por Ringo¨(French) or ¨5 Magnificos¨or ¨5 pistolas de Texas¨ is no worthwhile watching , it is far from good, ; however ,it is the sort of movie that you can watch ironically, mock the insanity, and have a good time .
