Palance played Perkins' father but the two actors are separated by only 13 years.
Claude Akins is erroneously credited as "Claude A. Akins". His real name is Claude Marion Akins. This is his only film with this credit.
Anthony Perkins and Neville Brand co-starred in this film. Later that year, they were reunited in The Tin Star (1957).
The film did little for the careers of anyone involved: especially Elaine Aiken who returned to New York. Newsweek called the film 'an almost eerily quiet Western, which somehow manages to be drab'. When Charles Winecoff asked Jack Palance about this film for his book, "Split Image: The Life of Anthony Perkins", he couldn't even recall it.
