A woman, recently released from a mental institution, and her young daughter are trapped at the top of a Ferris wheel. Cameron and Johnson must devise a plan to rescue the pair from their precarious perch.

While an engineering company closes a road to do hillside dynamite blasting, bus # 102 to Bakersfield crashes through the " road closed " barricade just as the dynamite charge is set off which sends the bus off the road and down the hillside. The ensuing rock slide buries the bus and Wes and Skip must devise a plan to save the passengers.

Tom Hickey is a former member of RESCUE 5 who is now wheelchair bound. He is also a former partner of Wes Cameron. Tom sends his son Jimmy to summer camp where the boy falls about 50'off Devils Bluff. The camp leader goes to the Maywood Canyon Ranger Station to request assistance and to call Tom Hickey to tell him his son has been injured. Tom calls Wes to ask him to go to Jimmys aid and Wes can't refuse because Wes is Jimmys godfather. When Wes & Skip arrive they devise a plan to work with the on duty members of RESCUE 5 to save Jimmy.

While searching sewer tunnels looking for a lost child, Wes & Skip encounter 3 thugs who are using the sewer tunnels as a hideout only to find out that one of the thugs is Skips nephew Pete. When Pete is ordered to throw a bomb at Wes and Skip, Pete just can't do it & throws the bomb in the other direction. After Wes and Skip subdue the other 2 thugs, Pete joins in the search for the lost girl.

A woman visiting a zoo with her boyfriend is stalked by her estranged husband. After shooting the boyfriend, the estranged husband is chased by the police where he hopes to hide out in one of the zoo's buildings. While hiding in the building,he falls into a shaft that is part of the polar bear exhibit.As Skip tends to the boyfriend who is shot, Wes repels into the polar bear exhibit to subdue the estranged husband.

While off duty, Wes and Skip wait alongside an airport runway for Wes' friend Riley Jackson who is arriving in a plane he is piloting. When Riley is making his final approach to the airport, he successfully avoids a mid air collision with another plane but then crashes his plane in a valley outside of the airport. Wes and Skip see all this and take some airport extinguishers and drive their car to the crash site & rescue Riley and his wife from the plane.

When an earthquake traps three men in an ice vault, Wes and Skip work to rescue them, aware that leaking ammonia may kill them all at any moment.

A worker at a dam walks out on a catwalk to clean an oil spill from the face of the dam. The catwalk collapses leaving the worker dangling along the dam wall. The workers son in law sees this and attempts to help his father in law but then he too needs to be rescued. Wes & Skip arrive and must devise a plan to save both men.

A man and his girlfriend go to a storage yard where old trolley cars are stacked and stored. They are looking for money that was hidden under the rear seat of trolley car #1392. After finding the money, the man attempts to get down from the old stacked trolley cars when he slips and gets trapped. Wes and Skip must devise a plan to free the man without causing the stacked trolley cars to collapse.

A man places a bomb on-board his mother-in-law's yacht in order to kill her before she can change her will. The rescue team attempts to find the explosive before it can detonate.

An elderly man using a shovel and bucket, manually excavates the ground in his back yard to build a swimming pool for his grandchildren. Without using proper shoring, the sidewall gives way partially burying the old man. Wes and Skip must devise a plan to rescue the old man without causing further collapse.

Why trying to repair the chimes on a church clock before Christmas Eve services, an old clockmaker becomes trapped in the mechanism that works the bells.

An express train derails trapping its passengers under exposed electrical wires.

Two female hitch hikers wanted by the police accept a ride from a truck driver who ends his route at an auto salvage yard. Afraid that they might be caught, the women decide to hide out and sleep in on of the abandoned autos. Without knowing it, the women have fallen asleep in an auto that is scheduled to be crushed and awaken to find the crane has hoisted the car high above the car crusher. After screaming to alert the crane operator there is a problem with the cranes cables & the car can't be lowered. Wes and Skip must devise a plan to get these women down safely before the car falls.

While filming a movie scene, a stagecoach goes off the trail and tumbles down the mountain side trapping 3 actors inside. Wes and Skip must devise a plan to rescue the 3 actors without causing the stagecoach from falling further down the mountain side.

The roof of a small church collapses, trapping a priest and a would-be thief under the wreckage. Wes and Skip must rescue the pair before they are crushed by the weight of the beams.

Skip has a falling out with fellow rescue squad member, which has perilous consequences during a fire in a factory.

When flash floods threaten the outskirts of Los Angeles, Wes and Skip are asked to evacuate an eccentric man and his daughter from a remote canyon. The man doesn't want to be rescued and sets traps to prevent it.

During a school initiation challenge, a boy must climb to the top of a water tower, enter it through a scuttle hatch door and retrieve his keys that his peers have dropped into the water inside the tank. After the boy that is monitoring the initiation locks the scuttle hatch door from the outside, he falls a short distance and is knocked out. A passing motorist sees this and calls RESCUE 8. Wes & Skip rescue the monitor and when he awakens they find out about the initiation pledge that is still locked inside the water tank. With the water level in the tank slowly rising, Wes & Skip must devise a plan to rescue this young man.

While looking for her son in a ghost town, a woman is trapped after falling through the floor of an abandoned building.

A deranged pyromaniac attacks a forest fire warden, shoots the fire wardens wife and locks their 2 young children in a storage room. When Wes and Skip arrive, they get locked in the basement by the pyromaniac. As the pyromaniac starts a fire in the house, Wes and Skip free themselves from the basement by kicking their way out of the basements second exit. As Wes saves the fire warden and his family from the fire, Skip and 2 arriving police officers chase the pyromaniac into the woods where the police shoot the pyromaniac.

Men working for a undersea salvage business become trapped on a boat supposed to contain a cargo of gold.

Skip's mother-in-law joins a phony cult.
