Hannibal can be obtained in 2 completely different versions. Firstly an Italian version with a runtime of 91 minutes as well as an US version with 100 minutes.
Both versions offer different material. There are alternative takes, small intercuts, scene changes as well as cuttings. Interesstingly both versions show different directors during the intro.
The US version is endowed with pletny of scenes which do not really fit into the context. There are diverse new fighting scenes or scenes with soldiers who act in front of a background which does not fit in the actual context and seem to have been shot in a studio. Aditionally some scenes containing violence have been made.
