Last night, the internet voting zombies people spoke and declared who and what they favored most from 2012's crop of films at the 2013 People's Choice Awards, and to the surprise of absolutely no one it was "The Hunger Games" which came out on top of the wins list.

"Hunger Games" snagged the win for Favorite Movie as well as Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Movie Franchise and Favorite On-Screen Chemistry. The film also garnered its now two-time Oscar-nominated leading actress Jennifer Lawrence a win for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Face of Heroism, which was great because her speech was - per usual - completely adorable.

Just imagine her eventual Academy Award acceptance speech ... but we digress.

"Ted" picked up the win for Favorite Comedy, with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston randomly sneaking in with Favorite Comedic Actor and Actress wins. "The Avengers" star Robert Downey, Jr. got the Favorite Movie...

The 2013 People's Choice Awards nominees were announced today with Channing Tatum, Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone leading with the most nominations in movie categories. Tatum, who was just named the Sexiest Man Alive, received four nominations, while Lawrence and Stone received three each. The list of nominees shows that there's plenty of interest in superhero films, with "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Amazing Spider-Man," and "The Avengers" dominating in most categories. Over 93 million votes were used to determine the nominees and to choose new categories, like the new Fan Following category which was created to recognize franchises like "Twilight" and "Harry Potter."
